At present, this restaurant is only doing takeout, though in the past they also had sit-down service. So, if you get food here, you will basically come in, open a little slot and say “can I have service?” Lady will come to the slot and take your order. She will then come back to the slot with your order. You get the food; you pay. So why did I give this place three stars? Mostly because the food was bland. It was a dish that was supposed to be spicy and somewhat sweet; it was not either of those. I have had worse chicken Kung Pao than this at other places. This was modestly good, and certainly not great.

Great takeout Chinese food in town. The person taking my order is always very sweet and they’ve recently allowed you to walk inside. Definitely recommend if you are in Taneytown.

I told my husband before that their food seemed to upset my stomach. This time we all got food poisoning. That’s 3 times their food has made me sick. I’ve finally convinced the family that we’re not going back. I also don’t trust that they still aren’t dine-in. You can’t see into the restaurant at all and get a sense of the quality or cleanliness.

$51.00 Of food. Took a couple bites and Throw it away. Used to get food from them all the time because it was best around. . But its been awhile . Not shure what happen but they shure went down hill.. Will NOT buy from them again..

Maybe it’s an acquired taste. I’ve tried different Chinese restaurants in my life. This place was actually the worst tasting food. The wonton soup tasted rotten. It was in a green liquid and when I took a bite the soup became brown. The beef with broccoli was bad. The beef tasted like it was recooked after you try to keep it in your refrigerator. And then added to maybe some fresh beef. I know, because in college, I tried to make food like this. I was a terrible cook. But I’ve tasted waaaaay better food. Even the place in Westminster had very good food. If there are people who like Fortune Star in Taneytown, then they must be locals who wanna have pride in having a different type of restaurant. Hype is hype. Do not eat the food from here. It cost me money, time and some very embarrassing moments in front of my coworkers. By that, I mean Barf City!

I have only ordered once, but so far this is the most pleased I am with a Chinese restaurant. We ordered delivery and it was delivered a half hour earlier than expected. Food was still hot as well. Compared to other restaurants I feel like I finally got my money’s worth of food, and the price was about the same as other Chinese restaurants. The food was delicious and far less greasy than others.

Food was disgusting ordered general tsos chicken and didn’t know that it was sweet Vs realistically supposed to be spicy,called and asked why the menu says spicy but wasn’t then asked for a refund or remake and was made to feel like a criminal she said ‘you stupid’ then asked how come everywhere else it’s been spicy was told that I should never order again from the lady that answers the phone I would stay clear of this place menu is very deceiving food is undercooked definitely not authentic and very rude staff and not happy that children literally work there 6-9yrs old behind counter taking money and would not recommend this place to anyone even my worst enemy…..well on my 8th bathroom break….yeah never Again!!!!!!!! Good luck to anyone who don’t take this warning
