I’m not really crazy about the 5 star rating system. I prefer the “would you recommend” Home Depot-style rating. I feel that says more. Yes, I would recommend this restaurant. Food was tasty. Lunch servings were beyond generous. I can’t eat as much food as I was served. My girlfriend was very happy with her huge bowl of vegetarian soup on a cold day. We both had leftovers to take home. The service was speedy as well.

In regards to portion size, I would highly recommend the restaurant. However, the food itself is really bland with the exception of the extreme saltiness of the food from the soy sauce. The place was close to my job, and my food was made fresh upon ordering. I just couldn’t get past the saltiness. I ended up only having an egg roll, and was forced to throw the rest away, as it couldn’t be saved. Huge waste of money.

Order on line which has worked well, as order always ready. Good value with large portions. A lot of items are a little sweet for my taste but that is common with a lot of Chinese restaurant food I have had in last few years.

We came here, because there were 4.4 star reviews which is higher than any other chinese restaurant in the Chattanooga area. In the photos it looked like a quaint restaurant with real plates and silverware. Not true, everything thing is in plastic or styrofoam. Although the food came out piping hot and the portions were large, the waitress pretty much throw the food done and walked away. It was as if we were causing her too much trouble to do her job. I ordered General Tso’s shrimp, and it was so fishy and tasted freezer burned. I had to spit it into a napkin. Maybe their reviews are considered good because they’re cheap with large portions, but I cant sacrifice quality of food. I tried to explain to the woman that it tasted like it was not right, and she tried to fight with me saying “her food is fresh everday, and I was being too picky.” I guarantee it was rotten one way or another. I will not return

Update 10/13/21 It’s been over a year since I’ve had a Decent Hot and Sour Soup, the first time I tried Fortune House Hot and Sour I didn’t like it at all. That was appropriately 11 months ago, yes I should have gave it another chance by now but haven’t until today when I got a small bowl and two shrimp egg rolls (All Their Egg rolls Are FANTASTIC) Well this evening I must Apologize to Fortune House and the Lovely Lady who normally takes my order and prepares much of the food, She Works so Hard for All of Us. The Hot and Sour Soup was Delicious!!! Thank You Fortune House, I thought I’d Never Again Know how Wonderful a Good bowl of Hot and Sour Soup was Again in my lifetime!!!……..I’ve stopped here so many times now, I’ve got my friends going now also.. This is Truly the Best Chinese Food in Hamilton County!!! Stars… When You Find Yourself Wanting, Desiring, Thinking about…. It’s Freaking That Good!!! Try This PLACE, The EGG ROLLS Alone Are Worth It but Try the Many Soup’s and Dishes as well.. Everything Fresh Made and Cooked upon Order… It’s Has Become My Number 1 ( ) Place to EAT.. I could actually eat Their Food everyday if I could afford too During a Pandemic if this was the Only food I could get, I’d be HAPPY

Not even soy sauce can give this food flavor. I got the Kung Pao Chicken and there is no spice to it, not even a little. And please, how did this place pass a health inspection. I came so close to canceling my to-go order when I walked in and saw the place. The only redeeming value was that my food was ready so I didn’t have to stay long. And not one shred of an inviting atmosphere provided by the employees. I understand that there’s some bit of language barrier but a smile is universally friendly. I will not be back.

I’ve been eating here for 13 years and I have to say this is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the whole Chattanooga area. They are incredibly hard working and are always diligent in their service they provide. 10 minutes from when you call in an order you’ll have your food. 100% of the the time. The food is fantastic. They give you a very reasonable amount of food, enough for two meals if you dont eat too much. Best Eggrolls around, hands down. It’s a place that’s worth the drive, even if you live off the mountain. I live 30 minutes away and won’t hesitate to call in an order every couple weeks. Give these fine people your support, they deserve it with how hard they work.
