I recently visited Diggidees Restaurant at 1858 United States, 118 E Northside Dr suite a, in Valdosta, GA. I stopped in for a lunch and was greeted very nicely and gave my drink order. The restaurant was very clean and had many take out orders..I ordered and my meal you could tell was not premade. I waited awhile but was worth it. A very good job and the lady behind the counter was very good.

Service was kind of slow for the amount of people in the place. Fries were cooked perfect and were delicious as well as the fried pork chop. The roll adds nothing and wasn’t that great and the potato salad is a bit too sweet. The hotdog was awesome and they even toasted the bun which I love and is hardly ever done. Overall ok but not sure I’d come back.

Takes a while to get your food. It was ok. Got the single burger and it was your basic burger with choice of toppings. Nothing wrong with it but it wasn’t a stand out.

Saturday catfish! (We added an extra piece).
Catfish was fried delicately, not over seasoned. Perfect for adding hot sauce.
Potato salad was off the chain.
Slaw was good, a little finely chopped.
Mac and cheese was very good.

I regret that it wasn’t until recently that I discovered this small, family owned and operated hidden jem. The food is like home cooking. The portions are filling, and the price is very reasonable. The fried chicken is better than finger licking food, and the fried pork chops are my favorite. I highly recommend this little place. As an added bonus, we’re supporting a locally owned establishment.

All good things take time and Diggidees is no exception. It is just the way Momma cooks it on Sunday. All homemade and oh so good! Even the chicken tenders are hand battered. My picky eater loves them. Definitely a new favorite for carrying home dinner!
