The food is usually very good, but not tonight.I ordered a large sweet and sour chicken. The breading on the chicken was overcooked and dried out. I ordered a large, but they gave me a small sweet and sour sauce. There wasn’t even enough to cover all the chicken. We also ordered a large chicken and broccoli. There was barely any chicken in there and it was flavorless. We also ordered beef on a stick. The beef was c all dried out, we couldn’t even chew it. I thought we found a new go to Chinese place, but not after tonight.

I had the house rice and egg rolls. The egg rolls were ok, typical. Nothing bad to say about those, the rice on the other hand… Undercooked, or old the beef in the rice was tough really tough, the chicken was dry and tough, the shrimp were alright. The flavor was ok. I’ve ordered from Fortune House about 5 times it’s always just ok, but this maybe my last time.

lets start with we ordered online DIRECTLY FROM THERE WEBSITE FOR DELIVERY. we received the wrong order! when we called the store they said they are not responsible and to call the third party vender who brought us the food. uh hello we ordered directly through your website. we didn’t know a vendor was involved we didn’t even know uber eats would take it. we were told to log in the app and complain there. what app we ordered directly from the page! we ordered 50 dollars worth of food. and in the wrong order we received was 26 dollars worth of house fried rice! disappointing. we never got our food. if im ordering from your website. you should have the persons information that is picking up and bringing us our food! information which they did not have.

This Elgin establishment is no longer fair! After ordering for 1yr plus and tip! Found out yesterday you have to order the Dinner Special now to get the fried rice or steamed only***! You won’t get it with the larger orders or the lunch special at $13.95 like it states on their menu! The Dinner Specials are NOT on the listed menu or online at all! Watch out! Must be under new management and they like to rip people off! I even called to confirm and I didn’t even get an apology for the miscommunication or the option to pay the difference and get the fried rice, nothing! Gotta say Dinner special, not what it states on their business menu or online and you can’t fight it! I guess they don’t care they loose money. I spent $30-$50 per order every 2 weeks! Taking my money to Wing Ho Chop Suey, they are super nice & get your money’s worth and no rip offs, don’t forget to tip!

I have no idea what the empress chicken is but it came breaded with many vegetables which the description doesn’t state at all. The breading is falling off from soaking in all the sauce and barely any chicken inside. Shrimp in lobster sauce was more like mushroom in lobster sauce. (Photo attached). I have been here a few times and I remember why I don’t come here. There is plenty of other Chinese restaurants nearby. Some of their prices are kinda high as well.

Man used to love this place and recommended them to everyone . Prices and quality and serving was not fair and not good like before . Come in Ken the owner step it up and go back to quality food like before ! Definitely not worth it ! Definitely won’t recommend and we all going else where .

Food is Good..Customer Service not so good. Ordered my order adding items to my dish and taking out some items..in other words i special ordered My food to call when it was made incorrectly to be told that it WAS put in the meal very argumentative, when it wasnt…It WAS put on the receipt, OBVIOUSLY NOT read..I said no it wasnt and asked for a replacement order and was told I have to bring the meal back today now or dont eat it and bring it back tomorrow?!…So yall mess up and I’m Hungry and Disabled and suppose to go back?! After Knee replacement..Are you effin kidding me?!..In rush hour at dinner time..my order should have been right first off and replaced at MY convenience, Especially since I was in there earlier that week where the food was delicious. I mistakingly left my debit card in there. Called that day searching for it to be told by a woman they did not have it…Went in there today and was given the cancelled card…i dont even bother to complain anymore, just lose my business and referrals…Today was just enough..and got the nerve to be expensive..Act upscale! I wont be back. Asked to add Bean Sprouts and asked for Extra…Not one…only Onions…But I was told they were in there? Why would i call? Some people are Great Customers and just want what they ask and pay for..Do better!

Very disappointed ! Ordered from here many times and its usually really good, and tonight it was awful. Not exaggerating. The orange chicken was disgusting. Tiny gloppy pieces…not anything like it usually is. The fried rice had a burnt taste and smell to it. Had been craving it for awhile, but honestly it was over $ 60 and tasted terrible. I don’t think I’ll ever order from here again
