he eggdrop soup was watered down and not the best. 2/10
The egg rolls are hands down the best egg rolls on this side of the water!! Amazing texture and there’s a whole shrimp inside. They were so addictive. 10/10
The Chow Fun was okay. It lacked in flavor but the texture and beef was good 7/10
The lunch menu is cheap and gives you an entree, soup, and eggroll.
Overall a good place to go for lunch

The waitress who I purchased and received a beer from while I waited for my food told me that she was in high school and that she was under the age of 18 even though it is illegal for her to be serving alcohol. In general, I did not ask her any questions about her age at all. I did ask her if this is a family owned restaurant and she said yes, I asked her if it is her family who owns this restaurant and she said yes, and then I asked her where specifically her family is from and she said China. She pretended as if I was hitting on her, which was very strange as I was just my normal self and minded my own business. I did not hit on her. I did not flirt with her. I felt very unwelcome from the moment I entered to the moment when I threw up the food I purchased from the restaurant. I do not recommend this restaurant because the food was not seasoned at all, and the service was very poor. Furthermore, since the food made me sick, it’s not worth it for me to purchase it from them and season it myself in order to enjoy it because it was probably old, and if the food was fresh then their soy sauce packets may be expired because I only used the soy sauce packets they put in my takeout bag. I would be cautious sitting and eating there. The waitress told me that she wants me to leave some of the beer on the table so that she can drink what is leftover. I was extremely uncomfortable and I made sure to throw my own empty beer bottle in the trash before I left the restaurant.

Pretty good chinese food with fair pricing! I ordered singapore noodles, vegetables, fried flounder, total came to be around $60 due to the market price of flounder. The quantity was more than enough! I will definitely be visiting again soon 🙂

Probably the best Chinese food I’ve had in the area. I have a hunch their woks are as seasoned as the chef – everything is skillfully executed, with the subtle, smoky savory notes I’ve come to expect from a well-practiced artisan. The vegetables are consistently tender, crisp, and flavorful, with the right balance of sauce and seasoning to let the ingredients sing individually, and harmonize effortlessly into a wonderfully memorable dish. This was my first visit, but I’ll definitely be back – this hidden gem has thoroughly put the likes of PF Chang’s to shame, and somehow at prices and speed I’d expect from a deep-fried take-out joint.
Definite must-try!

I ordered the cold sesame noodles and mapo tofu and was really disappointed. The sesame noodles were dry with sesame seeds sprinkled on the top. They tasted okay, but would be better if they had a sauce on them. The mapo tofu wasn’t mapo tofu. It was completely wrong. The sauce for the mapo tofu was wrong (it was a brown sauce and I couldn’t taste any doubanjiang or sichuan peppercorn), the tofu wasnt the right type of tofu, and the sauce to tofu ratio was off. If you prefer a thin, mild brown sauce, you might like this, but I was expecting a spicy, numbing sauce that typically comes with this dish. I was really hopeful of finding a good mapo tofu near where I live since it’s one of my favorite dishes.

Fantastic Chinese food. The shrimp lo mein and Commanders Chicken goes great as a meal. Would recommend to anyone new looking for a good Chinese place.

Best tofu (fried bean curd) I’ve had ever at a restaurant! The stuffed eggplant was amazing as well. Don’t bother getting the curry chicken because it’s going to be just onions and peppers with a little bit of chicken. The bean cake was a great option for any vegan. Large portion.
I would recommend coming here purely for the food. This is not a venue you go to for a marvelous View. I was not happy with every single dish that I’ve tried here, but for the most part I enjoyed the food. Also we were the only two people in the entire restaurant at that moment, so we receive better service I think since there was no one else there.

This place was okay… decent egg roll, everything else? Confusing. Chicken taste like pork, general tso taste like BBQ, steer clear and get ya some Panda Express.. at least their chicken resembles chicken right? Fortunes only saving grace was their fortune cookies. GREAT fortune cookies. Probably not worth your time tho.

Delicious authentic Chinese fare (if you order the right items). My family has been coming here for literally over a decade whenever we don’t feel like cooking or just want a comfort meal. Try it, the garlic pork chops are comically good as well – though not quite what you’ll find in the mainland.

We have been ordering takeout from Fortune Garden for over 25 years. The quality of the food has never disappointed us. It is always excellent. The waitstaff is always friendly and appreciative. I think most of its business is takeout. I rarely see diners at tables when picking up my order. Perhaps if the owners were to rethink the design and decor of the restaurant, they might find more customers dining in. Then again, maybe that is not what the owners want to do.
