Fortina Stamford is always a win ✨

The pizza was incredible — perfectly crisp crust with creamy burrata and rich truffle flavor. The salad was fresh and flavorful, and the cocktails were refreshing and well-balanced.

Great food, great vibes, and one of my favorite spots in Stamford for a fun night out.

Decided to come here after a haircut appointment. Haven’t really come on this side of town much lately so maybe my last visit was 3 years ago. The taste and quality was much better then. I’m more of an antipasti person (to maximize my protein) over a full meal, and the quality was noticeably different. I didn’t even take food home which, for me, never happens.

I ate until I was satiated because it is on the expensive side for what you are getting but I would not come here again.

This was a disgrace to all Italian restaurants. Worst pasta I’ve ever had: way too salty and slightly too hard. The chicken parm was subpar at best. The lemon bucatini was definitely better than the pasta served with the chicken parm but still far too salty. For appetizers we had squash and garlic bread, both of which seemed like they were tossed onto a plate in 30 seconds. The garlic bread was a plain loaf with cheese on top served with marinara sauce: extremely underwhelming for how much it costs. I would not recommend this to anyone in any circumstance.

They would know I go 4 times a week, but the food is super tasty and fairly priced for the area. SUPER FAST and great service, everyone is super nice and attentive. You can have your food 15 minutes after walking in the door. The vibe is sick and no rats like at sign of the whale. Super clean. I also happen to be gluten free and they have gluten free versions of ALL pastas and pizzas as well as other items on the menu.

The pizza was fantastic and my wife’s chicken Parm was great as well. BUT…… I have to take away points for the short rib pasta. My short rib was so dry and tough that I had to dump a pound of Parmesan cheese on each bite. For a 30 dollar plate where the short rib is the star of the show, I was extremely disappointed. Cookie cutter beef cubes which didn’t appear to be slow cooked/braised or even seasoned. Bread pudding was great and helped me recover.

Fortina has quickly become one of my favorite go-to spots, whether it’s after work with my coworkers or a fun night out with friends. The atmosphere is always so warm, inviting, and lively.

The cocktails are amazing, especially their Aperol Spritz, one of the best around!! (Trust me!) Sometimes they even have live music, which creates the perfect vibe. The staff is always so sweet and attentive, and their energy really makes the experience special.

They also have a rooftop bar (open during the summer), which is such a fun spot to relax and enjoy a drink on a nice evening. Their brunch is also really good and the best part is, you can easily switch up your drinks to try different cocktails.

The food is consistently delicious, the service is wonderful, and the vibe is unmatched. I truly enjoy dining here and will definitely keep coming back often!

After doing a pedal cruise in Harbor Point, we walked over to Fortina for lunch. We decided to dine on the rooftop, also known as the Fortina Yacht Club. It was a beautiful day, and the chill vibe and view were really nice. The yacht club had a separate menu from downstairs, but we were glad that we were still able to order from the kitchen menu if we wanted to. Since it was our first time, we definitely had to try one of their pizzas and an order of wings, which was brought up takeout style. It worked for the pizza (which had perfectly crispy pepperoni by the way!), but the wings unfortunately seemed like they had been sitting in the takeout container for a while, so they weren’t at their peak. Everything else was delicious – the grilled cheese, burger, and french onion dip were great casual foods for hanging out on the rooftop. Everything came out quickly, and the staff was nice. I definitely would be curious to explore more options on the kitchen’s menu next time, because I saw some pretty good looking options!

Had a wonderful dinner at Fortina. Jared B. waited on us and his service was beyond excellent. I ordered the Chicken Parm sandwich while she had the ravioli dinner. Both were superb, the sandwich had a perfectly cooked juicy chicken, not overly saturated with red sauce and just the right amount of cheese (the Parmesan on top was perfect). The Raviolis were huge in size and she decided to order it after hearing the table next to us praising how good it was. Jared checked in on us several times, every chance he got and provided excellent service throughout our visit. Only suggestion, the Cheesy Mimi was not on the menu and if we knew about it, we would have had it instead to help out Marissa and the Make A Wish Foundation (see last photo about her story and what it’s all about). We will be ordering it next time though. Lastly, in past trips we’ve had the Margarita Pizza, baked Gnocchi among other plates and have never been disappointed. Overall, Fortina is a local favorite and a definite must visit in my book, I totally recommend it! Ask for Jared!!

UPDATE DECEMBER 2025…We showed up at 8:30 Sunday evening for pizza and were told they were no longer serving pizza despite advertising they were opened until 9! This is what happens when the owners are not on site!

ORIGINAL REVIEW:Excellent place for good food and good atmosphere! Excellent pizza! The bar scene is cool with good craft cocktails and nice selection of wines. Weeknights are slower than weekends and the summer balcony and outdoor seating is great! The pizza is still very good, but doesn’t have the chew that it had in the past.

Took a water taxi and enjoyed Fortina’s patio for dinner. What a delight, food was fresh and flavorful and the atmosphere was just delightful. We had Chicken Scarpariello, corn, arancini and chicken wings and I liked every bite.
