This place is stunning! We came for Valentine’s Day and every dish was incredible. My boyfriend got the Chicken Martini and I got the bolognese which was one of the best I’ve had. Food came out quick and the place was huge and felt so fancy.
Our only qualms were the waitress was a little stiff and kinda just had the vibe of let’s get this over with. Also, we had a 5:30 reservation we made well in advance and were placed in the “Speakeasy” room which is really more suited just for drinks. The table was so small it was hard to have our plates and drinks on it.
A little pricey but the food was worth it. We’ll be coming back for a date night for sure!

Love this restaurant, the ambience, the food, the drinks and music and our waiter Valdimir made it all happen with his professional and courtesy. The food and drinks was amazing and to top it off right before we left the Dj started playing some great 80’s hits that took me down memory lane. This will definitely our new spot!

Forte is truly one of Hackensack’s gems — an incredible Italian restaurant that never disappoints. I had an amazing experience during my recent visit. Our server, Devin, provided exceptional hospitality — attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He recommended the Chicken Francese, which was absolutely delicious, while my guest enjoyed the Spicy Rigatoni (which I couldn’t resist finishing for her!).
The drinks were just as impressive — the three ladies behind the bar are phenomenal and always know how to craft a perfect cocktail. The atmosphere at Forte is unmatched: relaxed and elegant from Sunday through Thursday, and lively with an awesome DJ and great crowd on Fridays and Saturdays.
Every visit reminds me why I love this place — from the food and drinks to the service and vibe, Forte delivers excellence across the board. Definitely my go-to spot and a place I’ll be a regular at moving forward!

My husband and I recently held our son’s Baptism celebration at Forte. We chose it because our dinner experiences have been wonderful and the food is always great. We were even more impressed after hosting our party there. The service and food was incredible and all of our guests wouldn’t stop raving about it. The whole waitstaff was attentive, and Jenna, who helped us plan and set up our party was great. Highly recommend for a night out or to host your next party. We will definitely have more events here in the future!

My cousins and I ate here on a Wednesday evening (just last night) and had a delicious meal, fabulous service, great atmosphere, good vibes, and lovely background music. The five of us each enjoyed what we ordered. I had the burrata with prosciutto for appetizer, cavatelli with broccoli rabe and sausage crumbles as my meal, for dessert the creme brulee and also had a try of the tiramisu, soooo good. I like that they brought us a small plate of biscotti, oh and the bread was very good. My goodness, all was amazing and perfect portions. Also want to mention, the valet parking is definitely a nice bonus especially with limited street parking due to snow. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

I celebrated my wedding reception here on 1/11 at the upstairs pent house and I want to say that everything was amazing. It was amazing from the moment I decided to start planning my event there in the fall. Jenna was amazing to work with she was there every step of the way meeting with me and answering all my questions or concerns. We were stressed about decor and the timing we had to decorate before the party but she was legit amazing letting us drop the decor the day before and decorating early the morning of since there was no party before ours. She was very responsive and guided me every step of the way with all my requests. If you’re looking to book a private event I highly recommend having Jenna help you she’s great.

Food was good the Chicken Parm with vodka sauce was good but sauce was too milky and could have been a bit bigger. My wife had the angry lobster which was very good. Calamari was also amazing.

Absolutely disgusting service and inappropriate staff. I’m new to the area and every time I’ve driven past, I would tell myself I would go there. I used to dine at their restaurant in Randolph so I was excited to try their elevated Hackensack location.
The first time, I ordered 2 of their chicken bruschetta sandwiches to go and they didn’t come with balsamic vinegar. Not on the sandwich or on the side (manager said it’s supposed to come on the side).
Second time, I dined in with family and we were really excited for the lamb chops because we’ve heard great things. The server apologized and said they have them but the ones they received were too small and not worth serving. Understandable. I spoke to the manager and he said that they ran out from the holiday last weekend and nobody was doing food deliveries that week. Also, understandable but I don’t know why the two stories don’t add up.
The third time, my girlfriend went in with a friend and they dined in. Two girls wanting to catch up, but their server had other intentions. He was chatty with them the whole time, even though they were clearly not interested. When they asked for the check, he left his phone number with them on the back of the receipt. I went in and complained to the manager, he apologized and I saw him speak to the server, but that was it. Just a sorry…
I will never go to any of their locations ever again.

Went for dinner here Tuesday Jan 13 for my mother’s birthday. Third time here and it was excellent as always. Food, service, attentiveness were all excellent. Our waiter, Yanni (sp?) was first rate. Very attentive and helpful with suggestions. We will definitely contour coming back!
