Forte Garden is made up of two essential “ingredients”: on the one hand, a deep love, respect, and gratitude for the seafood culinary tradition that strongly shaped our childhood. Thanks to our moms and grandmothers, who lovingly introduced us to this incredible cultural heritage, we carry indelible memories of it.

Reviews
Following the oysters, we had the tuna tartare with potato cream. The combination was interesting and harmonious, offering a delicate balance between the richness of the tuna and the smoothness of the potato. A refined dish, enjoyable and thoughtfully composed.
For the main course, I chose the cacio e pepe with gambero rosso. The pasta was cooked slightly more al dente than I personally prefer, which affected the overall texture of the dish. While technically correct, it felt a bit firm. The gambero rosso was served raw , something I understand can be traditional in certain Italian preparations, however, in this context the flavor felt unusual and didn’t integrate particularly well with the sauce. Overall, the dish was acceptable, but not memorable and somewhat underwhelming for a restaurant of this standing.
We also tried the gnocchi with gambero rosso, where the prawns were cooked and the difference was remarkable. The flavors were far more expressive, balanced, and comforting. Both the gnocchi and the prawns were truly delicious, making this dish a clear highlight of the evening.
To accompany the meal, we enjoyed a dry red wine, which was well chosen and complemented the dishes nicely.
The atmosphere was pleasant and elegant, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the evening, contributing positively to the overall experience.
That said, considering the restaurant’s reputation, strong online reviews, and prestigious image, the dinner did not quite live up to expectations. The disappointment of the cacio e pepe, combined with prices that felt quite high for what was delivered, impacted the overall impression.
We really enjoyed several excellent dishes: the tartare di scampi, the risotto with squid and artichokes, the tagliolini with scampi and artichokes, and a wonderful cacio e pepe with gambero rosso. The true showstopper was the pistachio tower for dessert. Impressive in both size and taste. Definitely share it among at least four people!
A couple of downsides: the music was too loud, which made conversation difficult at our table of five, and the seared tuna starter was disappointing compared to the rest of the meal.
Overall though, Forte Gardens is a stylish choice for a nice evening out in Milan, with some truly memorable dishes and a lively atmosphere. Staff were very kind too.
What impressed us even more was the service. A special thank you to Beata, the girl who took care of us. It was such a lovely surprise to find out that she speaks our native Russian language. This immediately created a very cozy, almost family like feeling and made our evening even more special.
We left with the best impressions from the atmosphere, the service, and of course the food. We will definitely come back and gladly recommend this restaurant.
Many thanks as well to the management for such a well chosen and professional staff.
Ciao!
However, the true highlight of the night was the service provided by our waiter, Alessandro. He was attentive, personable, and brought an extra level of charm to the entire experience. When preparing the tiramisu tableside, he not only demonstrated great skill but also shared the fascinating story behind the dish, which made it even more memorable.
This combination of fantastic food, a warm atmosphere, and exceptional service made our evening unforgettable. We will definitely return and can highly recommend asking for Alessandro if you have the chance.
