Fort George Brewery in Astoria is one of those rare places that captures the spirit of the Pacific Northwest the moment you walk in.

The energy is warm, creative, and unmistakably local, and everything they serve reflects that pride. The food is consistently outstanding, but the pizza is on a completely different level. It’s not just delicious, it’s the kind of pizza that stops you mid‑bite because you can’t believe how good it is. The crust has that perfect wood‑fired character, the flavors are bold and balanced, and every slice feels like it was crafted with intention.

The rest of the menu holds its own with fresh ingredients and dishes that never feel rushed or ordinary.

And then there’s the beer, which is the heartbeat of Fort George. Whether you’re sipping a classic like Vortex IPA or exploring one of their seasonal releases, every pint showcases the creativity and confidence that make Oregon’s craft beer scene legendary. Combined with the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, Fort George Brewery becomes more than a place to eat and drink, it becomes a destination you look forward to returning to every time you’re in Astoria.

This is a must‑visit spot when coming to Astoria, often recommended as a place to stop by. It’s conveniently located near several museums, making it a great spot to take a break, have a meal, or enjoy a beer. Although I’ve visited multiple times before, this is my first time writing a review. In the past, I tried the food, but this time—since I was in the middle of a museum tour—I only had a beer before heading to my next destination. You can also see the brewing facilities in the adjacent building, and there are two different settings where you can enjoy beer and food with distinct atmospheres.

The burgers and pizza are very good. We had lunch downstairs on the open patio. We enjoyed ourselves very much so we decided to go back for dinner. We had pizza on the upstairs deck. The food was hot and the beer is cold. This place is very dog friendly and both patios welcome them. I thought I took pictures of the pizza, but I quess I didn’t.

We ordered Popoey vegan pizza & hummus with pita chips. The pizza was delicious! Garlicky flavours with marinated tomatoes gave it a very fresh taste. The service was great!

Great chill brewery vibe and good beers. We sat downstairs with the pub menu (mostly burgers, sandwiches, and salads) so I can’t speak to their upstairs pizza, but all our food was quite tasty. I enjoy picking up their beer when I see it in cans in Seattle. Patio was rainy, but I’ve sat there before and enjoyed.

I have not been to the physical Brewery, but from down on the Oregon Coast, and having tried several of their beers, I can say I think their beer is consistently good and always delivers. Good stuff! Don’t change! I always know when a bar& grill has Fort George, I can order it and always know it’s going to be good. ✌️

Loved the wide space seating arrangement, we overlooked the outdoor dinner area. Complete with open wood fire pit! Chicken was good and tender. Hamburger was awesome. Our root beer was served room temperature

Best brewpub in Astoria, the kind of place you visit more than once. Pub food but dialed up a notch. Great variety of beer styles, including some quality lagers. Good vibes inside and outside. Store selling merch across the patio on the way out. Can’t beat it.

We stopped in town and we’re debating between going here or to a different brewery, but are so happy we chose to come here! The food was an elevated hub food, with homemade dressing. Our favorite one was the poutine and the fish and chips (made with tuna, not traditional cod).

The beer was obviously also very good. We were told the vortex was their flagship beer and it’s a good piney really good IPA!!

Fantastic. The beer and food is excellent. Great atmosphere with indoor outdoor and sometimes upstairs seating. Got the tuna melt sandwich and it was a huge filet! As much as I’d expect for a dinner plate at a seafood restaurant! The Anaheim burger was also delicious. Cooked to order. Tasty fries. I had a stout that was delicious. Def happy to come here. The chowder is great.
