The people of Fort Colony were super nice and we were treated very well as customers. The food was good (had their breakfast). The place could definitely use some renovations to spruce up the atmosphere a bit. This is a quaint local place with a real local feel to it and the good hospitality that should accompany it. Also has a dessert counter of giant cinnamon rolls and pies to choose from, of which I did (cinnamon roll). Worth a visit for a wholesome experience.

This place looks like a hole in the wall but its food is really good. We got an omelette and breakfast skillet both were really good. You can choose between hash browns or sliced potatoes, I would highly recommend the sliced potatoes. Avoid their ranch at all costs as it was very gross. The pancakes are top notch and are some of the best ones I have ever had, definitely a must have.

I had the meatloaf. Portions are large. Meatloaf was just ok. Tasted like it had fillers and less meat texture. Chocolate pie is a cake base with chocolate pudding and miracle whip. The staff were friendly though. Not the best but not the worst. Glad I tried somewhere new.

Best waitresses in town! Feels like home! Great comfort food & breakfast food!! All you can eat fried chicken wed nights are amazing! (But fried chicken is served daily) Homemade pies are the perfect treat!! The go to spot in fort Madison!! Be sure to give it a try if you’re ever in town!

Nice little diner with good people and good food. They do offer overnight truck parking. If you park here they do not charge, so you must eat here “you scratch my back n I’ll scratch yours” applies! Everyone be sure to put trash in the dumpster, keep it clean.

Not impressed. This was the smallest French dip I have ever had. It looked like a kids meal. The beef was very bland and had lots of gristle. The salad was just bagged iceberg with the carrots and cabbage put on a plate. No toppings whatsoever. The French fries were the highlight and they were hot and tasty.

The food is always good. We go at least once for breakfast while in Fort Madison. There are usually around 15-20 of us and the restaurant is always accommodating to our large group. The restaurant is always clean and we’ll maintained, and the staff are always friendly, personable, and and fast.
