I am assuming the woman/owner was having a bad day today. I asked for what I wanted and she proceeded to tell me that I couldn’t get that. I asked about something else and she stated I don’t know what I want and walked away from the counter. I was left standing there, while she spoke loudly to the man/owner in their language. When I called out to her to she if she was going to wait on me she came around and suggested I can pick a number as she doesn’t have time for this mess. I have gone there several times my other visits have been pleasant. I have experienced her do the same thing to other customers also. If you’re going to run a business your customers would simply like you to respect them. I will never set foot in this place again! And I will continually spread the word about this really rude/nasty behavior, truly bad experience! I drove 9 miles to be treated like dirt!

1st off Cash Only and she will not let you place your order 1st and come back with your money , apparently other folks messed that up for us . With that being said the flounder meals well seasoned big portions hushpuppies small but sweet and fluffy. Whiting meal did not come with hushpuppies but also well seasoned . The side of scallops were overcooked and on the rubbery side but also seasoned well . Overall pretty good fish spot just dont forget your cash

I heard about their food being amazing! And everyone is right! Everything was completely fresh for each person that came in. Great size portions. And I actually hate hush puppies but I literally will just order a batch of hush puppies by itself if I want because they’re so good here! They were very sweet. PLEASE BE PATIENT AND NICE WAITING… IT’S ONLY HER AND HER HUSBAND BACK THERE DOING EVERYTHING. I go once a week lol.

If you want FRESH Fried fish.. this is the place to go. Huge portions, Home Made cocktail sauce that is to die for. A No Frills location that is a stop, pick up a plate and go. No Fine Dining, No Nonsense.. just get it and go. Owner was kind and generous. You cannot.go wrong. Great price point as well. Put it this way.. everything is served in a to go box that you will not be able to.close the lid on.. bursting with food and flavor.

When you can’t close the box you know its Real! This was a hidden secret gem untill she moved to this new location in Newport News near Walmart. (O. G. customers know where this store was before she moved) but the food is still good and the owner is still fiesty! Still good people. I ordered the Whiting Fish dinner with krinkle fries and a Shrimp and Sacallop dinner with krinkle fries. Both were fried to perfection. Help yourself to old bay seasonings, ketchup and hot sauce on the counter. Just plan on coming to the store to order because she still don’t answer the phone for nobody lol. Boss.

Great food and they give you a lot. They make their cocktail and tartar sauce from scratch and the food is always fresh. Would recommend to anyone looking for food in Newport News.

Im not sure how y’all support businesses like this. I don’t care how good the food is. Im not paying money if the customer service is trash. Not only did I call 2xs and no answer I went in. Liiisten I have NEVER had someone get so irrational and irate over a question. I asked if they use dairy or egg in their batter. The male taking the orders asked me several times to repeat myself which I had no issues with. Then the woman came from the back and she got loud and said “I dont know, I’m not going to sale to you, I make my own breading but I don’t know”…. my goodness. Ma’am I need you to work on your attitude because that was uncalled for and unprofessional. I said thank you and walked out. Never again.
