Tried something new for us and it was a great experience. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We tried many different items and shared them between our group. They served the food as it was prepared so it is different from most restaurants. The food was served fresh and really quickly. We had visited Taiwan in the past and these food items seemed very authentic to me. I would highly recommend this place.

We went for an early meal. People were great, we ordered a variety to share. But be aware that for street food, it’s pricey. But the flavors were awesome. Highly recommend the shrimp dumplings & the soup dumplings!

Formosa is an amazing restaurant! It was the perfect spot with a great atmostphere, really delicious food, and an amazing staff. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and fun. I loved the atmosphere which was in the sweet spot between lively and relaxed. The food was fantastic. There are so many dishes that I need to try next time! I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Great appetizer size plates to share between friends and family. I ate too fast I forgot to take picture of the most of the food. My favorite was the Taiwanese basil popcorn chicken, chicken dumpling and the fried calamari. If you like authentic Taiwanese milk tea, you might like it here, however I prefer mine to be sweeter.

Went here with my girlfriends for my birthday and we will definitely be back. We loved being able to have family style eating so we could try different things. Highly recommend the calamari (very fresh!) and the soup dumplings. Everything we ate was so good but those were our favorites. Save room for the coconut pudding!

This is amazing. We will go back.

The dining experience was pleasant overall, featuring a variety of appetizing dishes. Among them, the Chicken Pot Stickers truly shone, impressing with its flavorful filling and satisfying texture, easily claiming the title of the standout dish. The Basil Popcorn Chicken offered a delightful crunch and enjoyable taste, adding a nice contrast to the meal. Do not ask for the spicy unless you really like spicy. While the Mini Scallion Pancake Wrap was tasty, it could benefit from the addition of spicy mayo to elevate its flavors further, so ask for that. Lastly, the Shrimp Dumpling in Chili provided a flavorful kick, though it didn’t quite match the exceptional taste of the gyoza.

This picture cost 70 dollars. The plates are too big to be tapas, but too small to be a meal but are all priced at around 10 dollars. So it’s a 20$+ meal pretty much that you have to eat with plastic silverware? They don’t give you normal silverware or small plates even though it’s kind of a shared meal experience?.. instead they give you small paper boats like from a food truck. Also, having to get your own water out of an old cooler on the counter is off putting to me. I asked for sauce and they charged me an extra 2 dollars for it. Not a great experience, the food didn’t make up for it either unfortunately. Not bad, but not worth 70 dollars and plastic forks and an old cooler of water.

We went right after opening at 4pm on a Saturday. We ordered the tempura bites, chicken skewers, enoki with bacon skewers, Taiwanese pork sausage, and mini scallion pancake wrap. Everything was delicious, my favorite were the tempura bites and the pancake. Tawainese pork sausage was really good, but since it is Taiwanese, it is more sweet than spicy. Service was attentive but not over bearing. Atmosphere is simple but nice.

Overall, I loved everything and can’t wait to go back to try rest of the menu

We had the popcorn chicken, meat sauce noodle, and the chili wonton. The flavors bring me back to the food I ate in Taiwan! Highly recommend!

Everything was absolutely delicious here. We really enjoyed the food and the vibe. We went around 5 and it was mostly empty. I have a feeling it gets pretty busy later on.
Only reason for four stars is the food felt expensive for the quantity we got. Every pictured item was $10-11 and it varied greatly with how much we got.

I recommend the basil chicken for the best bang for your buck, and the pork dumplings for the best tasting dish (6 dumplings)

In total we spent around $45 for two people. But you could do it cheaper if you’re just getting rice and basil chicken.
