My friends and I really enjoyed our dining experience at Forma Pasta Factory. I got the gemelli pesto that includes cherry tomatoes. My friends got the mafaldine scampi and fettuccine funghi. All three dishes tasted amazing and were the same cost at $14 each. The mafaldine pasta had a great texture and powerful shrimp taste. We also got complimentary focaccia bread that was soft and buttery. The restaurant is self-serve in that you order at the front and then grab your food to bring to your table, but there are servers who are super attentive and can bring you your food as well. Everyone had a great attitude and made us feel super welcome. The outdoor patio in the back was covered and heated when we went, so it made for an enjoyable experience sitting underneath the windows while it snowed outside. I loved the food we ate and would highly recommend this restaurant!

I got the Mac n cheese special that came with fresh bread. Also got the tiramisu & veggies and dip side. The food was delicious! The Mac was soo good! And the tiramisu was not Mind-blowing but was immensely satisfying! The service was quick and friendly. The place itself is amazing for dates or just grab a bite with friends it can host most size groups in the back there is another door to a larger size dining room. There are also outlets if you want to work there. And there is a nice little park right across the way(as well as some other places one can visit)it’s a nice area to just take a stroll.

Tried the chefs’ pappardelle with cob, lemons and the Friday special orecchiette with lamb sausage ragu and sun-dried tomatoes, and both dishes were fantastic. The pasta is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care
Forma isn’t a full-service restaurant it’s more of a self-serve, casual setup but the quality of the pasta and bread easily rivals sit-down spots. For the price, the value is incredible. Highly recommend if you want great handmade pasta without the restaurant markup

One of the best pasta spots in the city, this location and the Williamsburg one. This is one of those rare beasts that’s top-quality, super affordable, outdoor seating, easy ordering, cozy-casual ambience. The bolognese is insane! The pomodoro pasta and the pesto pasta are also so good. Solid seasonal veggie specials like roasted squash and pumpkin seeds.
5 stars!!!!

The best idea ever! Food is amazing and every bite makes you want more. It’s so tasty! They have a very good selection and they are not expensive! For me this place has the three BBB (Bueno, Bonito y Barato) (Good, Nice, Not Expensive). I believe they also offer discounts if you live in the neighborhood! Pasta is fresh because they make it onsite. This place is out of the box!

Forma is my fav spot in the city. The quality to price ratio is just out of this world. And quite honestly, regardless of the price, the quality of the pasta is top-notch, rivaling some of the best spots in the city. My personal favorites are the spaghetti pomodoro, vodka rigatoni, and the Saturday braised short rib special. The current special (duck ragu) is my current fav but it’s limited time only!

Forma is the best fast casual pasta joint in the city. There used to be a place in Nolita called Sosta that was incredible, but sadly it was ahead of its time and closed too quickly. Thankfully Forma fills this void.
You order at the counter, and they give you a number which you bring to the table. There’s a combo where you can get pasta and wine for under $20 which is a real steal.
My faves here are the Pipette Ragu and the Mafaldine Scampi, although they also have daily specials including a deliciously simple lasagna on Sundays.
The one caveat here is that the line can sometimes be incredibly long, followed by an equally longer wait for your pasta to be brought to the table. Sometimes it feels a bit loud and chaotic and you’ll see people get their food who were behind you in line. If there was a complaint (and this really isn’t one), it’s really just the wait for your food and sometimes your table won’t all receive their food at the same time. Equally, the takeout just isn’t as great – personally find that it doesn’t travel as well, and I’d much prefer to eat it here.
Never the less, I love this place and it’s always on my Guilty Pleasure’s list. If pasta weren’t so heavy, I’d be here everyday.

The food is affordable yet doesn’t lack on quality. The staff was very kind and helpful. The atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating created a great atmosphere.

YES! You can eat well in NYC for under $25!!!! I’ve been dying to try this spot and finally went last night! They have a Wine & Dine special that includes a glass of wine and a choice of pasta. This was the fettuccine fungi and it was top tier!!! The homemade focaccia bread with rosemary was the cherry on top! I will be coming here regularly! Cozy vibes in the enclosed pergola as well!!

Spent my birthday at Forma Pasta in 2024 and it was such a great experience. I really liked the open seating style and how affordable everything was — fresh pasta, wine, and an appetizer without breaking the bank. I actually found the place on Instagram and it totally lived up to the hype.
We sat next to the pasta-making area, which was super cool to watch, and the pasta dishes were absolutely delicious.
10/10 recommend!
