Fork & Fable Craft House
I stopped into Fork & Fable Craft House in La Crosse and it absolutely delivered.
I started with a Bloody Mary with a Coors Light chaser—a classic combo done right. The drink was well-balanced with just the right kick, and the chaser sealed the deal.
For food, I had the iceberg wedge salad (fresh, crisp, and generously topped) followed by the hot honey pepperoni pizza—which was outstanding. The sweet heat from the honey with the savory pepperoni was the perfect balance. Portion sizes are huge and truly worth every penny.
I chose to eat at the bar, and I’m glad I did. Cam, my bartender, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable—not just about the menu, but about the team and overall vibe of the place. You can tell the staff works well together, and that kind of atmosphere makes a difference.
Pro tip: beat the rush and come early, or grab a seat at the bar like I did. You can’t go wrong.
This place feels like a hidden gem. It’s officially my go-to spot for quiet meals, friendly service, unique menu options, and consistently great food. Highly recommend. Ask for Cam!

Went out to eat early in the evening which was a good call especially on the weekend as it seemed to get busy very quickly.
The food was fantastic! Great flavor. And the service was great too.

Really enjoyed this place
The Brussels sprout appetizer was unique and very delicious, everything came together nicely.
Also tried fish fry and fried chicken sandwich. Both excellent entrees with some nice embellishment like house made sauces and sides
Definitely more items on the menu that sounded worth a try including tostada, salads and pinza

The Brussel sprout appetizer arrived as a huge serving and was amazing. It was delicious and a perfectly roasted savory treat with grapes and toasted pecans and was beautifully plated – adorned with a generous mound of sweet whipped feta in the center. You wanted to lick the plate clean it was so good. Service was excellent. We had the Mac n cheese with blackened chicken and that too, was delicious.

Hubby ordered , the pub burger, which actually was very delicious. We asked for extra crispy fries and they came out fairly soggy and not warm at all so we got they were nice and brought us new fresh fries which were pretty good., I think maybe they make them fresh they don’t get that crispy , but they were really hot and good.
I got the perch sandwich with smelled a little fishy. Upon arrival once I got to eating it and needed a little salt and some extra remoulade and so we kind of split everything. It was nice and battered and very thin and crispy hot.
The coleslaw it was a total disappointment. I think had just been made because it was just like cabbage with mayonnaise coleslaw needs like a day to marinate.
They were kind of busy. The staff was clearly overwhelmed, and I noticed that our waitress also had people on either end of the restaurant.
The wait for everything was fairly long table. We got seated right away, but just the food and water refill. Some things just took some time. Our waitress was really nice, perky, and seem to really know the menu quite well.
I originally ordered the tostada to start. It sounded amazing and they ran out at the last minute, so I opted for the perch
I would highly recommend the pub burger.

Great little restaurant and bar in La Crosse! Great atmosphere, food, and service. We walked in with no wait on a Saturday evening. Pictured is the cheese curds, brussel sprouts, and ahi tuna salad. Try the ciders too!

You wouldn’t know it by looking at the place, but the food is superb! I crave the brussel sprouts! The creative daily specials (posted on Facebook daily) are also very good.

Absolutely loved Fork and Fable! The food was incredible—especially the Brussels sprouts, which are worth the trip alone. The Bloody Mary is top tier. Staff were super friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and there’s plenty of space with a nice big bar. Great vibe all around. Will definitely be back!

I picked my hotel bc it was a close walk to here and it didn’t disappoint. Had to get the cheese curds bc it’s my first time in WI, they were squeaky and delish. I asked about the perch and if it was fresh and the attentive bartender steered me toward the locally-sourced beef. Wow the burger was charred in all the right places, bun toasted proper and it was huge. One of the best burgers ever. And he was very patient with me as I asked about local WI beers, my IPA was the perfect choice. Seems like a local neighborhood hang which is my style and the bartender even hooked me up with some dive bars near my walk home. 100% recommended.

Stopped into Fork and Fable Crafthouse for an early afternoon lunch with some girlfriends. Food was delicious and fast for how busy the restaurant was. The new menu was surprisingly varied, and we intend to come again to try more items. Our server Adeline was fantastic, and greeted us right away. Glad to have prompt and knowledgeable server who took time to answer our questions, and went above and beyond to let us know about the THC beverages available. I don’t know why they weren’t available on the drink menu to begin with.
