The Forgot Me Not Diner is a charming quaint little diner that exceeded all my expectations. The server, who was also our cook, provided excellent service with a personal touch. The fish chowder was exactly what I was hoping for, and the pizza was simply fantastic. It may not be an overly fancy five-star restaurant, but the cozy atmosphere, picturesque charm, and delightful decorations won me over. This local mom and pop joint is a hidden gem that captures the essence of homemade comfort food and friendly service. I can’t wait to visit again as a tourist passing by and indulge in more of their delicious offerings. Highly recommended for a truly delightful dining experience!

took a drive toward the rest stop for the 100 mile Can Am dogsled race. Stopped for breakfast at this little diner. Like going back in time (in a good way). Lovely service (the owner waited on us) and a delicious breakfast (yes, served all day– and they open at 5am! ) The price was well below breakfast anywhere in Maine! 5 stars from me– (try the homemade bread!)

Absolutely love this place. We moved up here from Connecticut to get away from the city life. The food is always amazing. Still shocked on how reasonable the prices are. I think her name is Jenn the girl who runs the place? She’s always super nice. Definitely a hidden gem on the way to the Allagash.

Just what you’d expect in St Francis – tasty simple meal, generous portions, reasonable prices, nice friendly people, good directions and a freshly made Maine whoopie pie to go.

Stopped in after a local recommended it to us… and we were not disappointed! A nice homey local place, no pretense, not expensive at all. I had a bacon cheeseburger, my friend a double cheeseburger… they were real good and hearty and tasty… and the french fries were outstanding… seemed cut fresh at the diner. Will definitely go back…

You’d think that a diner that is easily 5 miles from any other options would have plenty of business just by being mediocre. That they wouldn’t even need to try. We didn’t have high expectations on our stop at this diner.
Boy, we were pleasantly surprised!
This diner brings their A game, even though they don’t have to
We got a bacon cheeseburger, Philly steak grinder, and their “mix fries” (poutine).
Everything was tasty and hot. The grinder bread was clearly homemade and phenomenal!!! The owner (I believe?) was there on her own and 3 parties walked in with us, one being a larger party of six. She handled everything perfectly, never missed a beat, and even managed to call in reinforcements (another woman came in to help) while cooking, taking orders, delivering food, ringing people out, etc.
Portions were good, not crazy huge. (I hate huge portions, so wasteful!) They were just right for having a good hearty lunch.
Highly recommend, we will be back. Nice scenic ride from Fort Kent.
Might even take the drive just to buy some bread!

We ate here multiple times on our trip to Allagash and were never disappointed. The food was delicious, with very generous serving sizes. The homemade bread is phenomenal. The service was always incredibly friendly as well!
