Good service, I enjoyed my first visit here. I had the grilled shrimp Alfredo. Nice presentation, tasty shrimp in a good sauce. The angel hair pasta was cut short giving it a strange texture but over all it was good. Worth a trip to Franklin.

While out house hunting this morning, my wife and me came across the Forest Restaurant. We’re from Houma, where there are plenty of Cajun restaurants. We were curious to try a new place that promises Cajun cuisine. We were impressed. Tiffany, our server, took care of our table. She was very knowledgeable about the menu items. Everything was great, from the appetizer to the entrée. The food was flavorful, and the portion size was good. The place was clean and seating was abundant. Do yourself a favor and stop by this place. It’s southern hospitality and Cajun cuisine in one place.

Have been here many times before but tonight was a disappointment. The spaghetti and meatballs had been changed. Gone were the really good hand made meatballs replaced by store bought frozen ones. The really small ones. Terrible!!! Sauce was also changed. Very little flavor and the spaghetti noodles were barely warm. The server was great!! Liked her very much. She and the very nice lady at the register are the only reason I’m giving 3 stars. If this had been my first time here I would not be back. Tell the person in charge of the kitchen to listen to the wait staff and repeat customers about what is not working!!!

I’ve had the loaded cheeseburger steak with fries which was very good. The grilled shrimp salad was good, but the salad only consisted of iceberg lettuce, tomato wedges and a boiled egg. The Grilled shrimp were very good and plenty were on the salad. Service is always great and it’s always clean and pleasant atmosphere.

The forest is a nice little restaurant and serves good Cajun food. However It is quite expensive . do not order the oysters they are usually over cooked or under cooked. The waitresses never seem to be happy. Today our order of oysters was over cooked again. The waitress was nice and took it off our bill. On a positive note the banana pudding is amazing. Im sorry but orders have been messed up many times for me and I no longer love this restaurant.

Food was delicious I got the bacon wrapped shrimp but didn’t think to take a picture. All in all I had a great experience, first time dining here and from the time I walked in until I left the staff that I came I contact with made me feel welcome. If I find myself in the area again I will definitely dine here and try some of the other items on the menu, the red beans and grilled pork chops is what I came for.

Food is great! I would’ve given 5 stars, but they messed up my order. The waitress fixed it pretty quickly. I like very this place for good, home cooked style food. Atmosphere is great, service is great.
