Very delicious food! Service is good, and the restaurant is great for meeting friends, you can actually hear eachother and have a great conversation. The parking however, is no bueno. You have to find street parking.

This place is honestly on an almost-weekly rotation basis for my partner and I, we LOVE it here!! Sushi is always fresh, fish is cut thick (but not too thick), the presentation is cute and charming, and honestly the food is exactly what I would want from a hole-in-the-wall sushi restaurant to splurge at any chance we get!! (We tried another popular local sushi spot yesterday because Fontana was closed and we had to come back today to actually satisfy our cravings, if that says anything about how much we love it here)

Food was great , golden mussels are huge we got lucky to have king salmon that just came in. The Food is more than excellent you need to add in the fresh Wasabi.
This location also has a great setting vibes are great …we got lucky to sit next to the star who is posted in the photo.
If you want good sushi + a vibe this is the place. The 534 E Alameda Ave location is the best.

We’ve tried all the other sushi restaurants in Denver, and Fontana is our favorite, hands down. The sushi is fresh, fresh, fresh–every time. Quality tunas, salmon, red snapper, etc., fresh micro greens and herbs and delicious ponzu and yuzu sauces, all with artistic designs on the platters. The special rolls with the seared garlic butter are particularly awesome. We like to sit at the bar and watch the sushi chefs prepare their creations, and all of the servers managers are professional and friendly. Don’t let the storefront exterior on Alameda and simple interior fool you – the food is top notch and it will become your favorite too.

This place is BEYOND a hidden gem!!! Everytime we come in there is always a table ready and waiting, service is fast and super friendly, and the food is perfection every single time no matter what we order! The specials are amazing and a great value, the freshness of the fish can’t be beat, and I’ve never seen more generous portions of sashimi anywhere in town! We drive clear on the other side of town to eat here and it’s worth it!

I’m from California and was also in the military all throughout the U.S. and I will have to say that although Denver and CO as a whole aren’t known for their food, I had been searching everywhere here for fresh sushi and finally came across this spot which I have been a regular at now since I moved to the area. Their restaurant has dim/ambient lighting, the workers are always warm and welcoming, and the interior decorations are also cute for a lowkey sushi spot. It’s never too packed in here which makes it a perfect restaurant for something cute and cozy with friends or romantic partners. My partner and I are here about once or twice a week because everything is delicious!!! We typically order the miso soup, gyoza, fire roll, and rainbow rolls and always end up feeling perfectly full and content with the food we ate here 🙂 highly recommend!!!!!!

Be sure to thank Chen on your way out, because he will certainly make your visit special with his culinary skills and personality. I have ordered from Fontana on Alameda more times than I can count. By far my favorite sushi place in Denver – I’ve tried many, and there are many good ones, but Fontana is the one I keep coming back to. There have been times I ordered twice in one week because I couldn’t stop thinking about it after the first time. Highly recommend! Oh – don’t forget to request the fresh-grated wasabi!

I wish I could give this place a higher rating. the sushi here is INCREDIBLE!! I highly recommend the fatty blue fin tuna, or the diablo roll. this is some of the freshest, tastiest sushi I’ve had in Denver.
