Updated: we have now been here 5 times in the last four weeks and I can honestly say it’s our favorite restaurant! The food is consistently excellent and I am addicted to the Tom Yum soup. Everything is on point.

My wife and I loved this place! We’ve been meaning to leave a review for the past two weeks, and are now finally getting to it. That’s how good our experience was. The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere was charming, but warm. Very friendly service. And the food was delicious. Well proportioned. Flawless experience.

What a thrill to discover such delicious and authentic Thai food in this cute little spot just off Main Street in the heart of Belfast. Our party of four choose to order family style so were fortunate to sample five different items, all of which were fantastic. The chive appetizer was a favorite as was the soup. Even vegetarian style, the soup was rich with flavor and would be top on our recommendation list. Not a single item failed to please so try a little bit of everything. The owner and chef, Fon, came out to say hello and we were happy to heap praises first-hand upon her skill in the kitchen. Our server, Kim, was friendly and efficient. Don’t miss it!

This was an amazing meal! The service and food were exceptional. Our server was super helpful, and the kitchen is willing to accommodate as much as they can for dietary restrictions (I’m gluten free). Everything we ordered was full of flavor and super well-balanced, with just the right amount of heat. Very excited to eat my leftovers:)

Happy they cater to vegetarian/ vegans and most dishes can be made accordingly.

charming and lovely spot in Belfast! We were driving through one evening on our way to Bar Harbor and are so glad we stopped by. The service was wonderful too, we almost forgot out to-go dishes after finishing dinner and the waitress ran after us to make sure we didn’t forget after we walked out the door. So kind!
Also the Thai food was excellent – even better than a lot of Thai spots we have been to in SF!

My second time there. My first visit was great, I met the owner, told her I managed a restaurant in Camden and had a nice chat. This time my dish was absolutely terrible. The noodles were super hard and old. The server and owner saw me putting the old noodles aside because they were inedible. No one came over and asked if everything was alright, or offered to make me another dish – which I only ate a few bites of. When it was time to pay the bill, to my surprise they didn’t take the item off of the bill. I had to ask the server: “you’re going to charge me for a dish that I didn’t eat and was inedible?” She said she’d have to speak to the owner. They took it off of the bill but offered no apology. As a manager myself, I would have AT LEAST spoken to the patron and apologized but nothing. Not how I would have handled the situation. And you know industry people, we all talk about other restaurants, because it’s where we spend all of our time – and that is how I will be sharing my experience at Fon’s, with other peers and I wont be going back!

Excellent Thai food in downtown Belfast. We had fresh spring rolls, chicken money bags, Tom kha soup and Thai fried rice, all fresh and delicious. Charming Chef/owners are gracious hosts and great cooks.
