I’m a Black American. When my sister and I walked in we immediately felt as if we weren’t wanted. I wanted to turn around but I thought maybe I was just imagining it. We sat down at the counter. The only nice person was the waiter who took our order. We were watched and stared down by the others behind the counter. The food is good but I would not recommend if you are a person of color.

This tiny cafeteria is what I especially love about the Miami/Latin culture. At first glance, there appears to be no menu, except for a sign up against one wall displaying only images of the delicious options available.
For the locals, the menu means nothing. You order what you’ve always ordered for years or you ask the ladies what the special for the day is. There is a small cafe window where most of the business is made, but the real prize is what goes on in the kitchen. The atmosphere is loud but inviting, housing less than a dozen tables, you can’t help but feel cozy. The kind of service is warm and friendly where the waitresses know their best customers by name.

It has been the best cafeteria I know , and I travel far and I always look for new places to eat , but this is definitely a whole in the wall amazing highly recommended, unfortunately I didn’t take a picture of the plate I ate it so fast I forgot but I will be back.
