We stopped in for a late lunch after a visit to a nearby casino and were pleasantly surprised. It was the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, and we were seated right away at the bar. The service was friendly, fast, and attentive throughout our visit.
The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, perfect for unwinding. Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious—everything was fresh and well-prepared. Prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes.
The menu is large with plenty of options, including a specialty drink menu that’s worth checking out. There’s also outdoor seating available if you prefer to dine outside.
Bonus points for the cool logo—we liked it so much we ended up buying some merch before we left. All in all, a great experience. We’d definitely come back.
The food comes out looking like it’s ready to challenge you to a food coma. BIG, delicious, and worth every bite. The bartenders? Sweethearts who make you feel like you’ve been besties forever (and might just sneak you an extra smile with your drink).
The atmosphere somehow balances “relax and chill” with “I feel fancy, don’t talk to me while I sip my cocktail.” Basically, I found my new spot.
And lucky me I live close enough to waddle back anytime. I want to reclaim my rightful title as the Big Back Queen.
10 out of 10!!!!
Pic below is of the Fish and Chips… MINUS the piece I already ate – so this comes with 4 HUGE pieces of cod!
Worth a review? I don’t usually, but The Pig not only rates a google review , but a letter to the owner to praise his choice of (myth?) “another restaurant in this geography – when a pig flies!”) I’m delinquent, given that we’ve been bar stoolers for 2 years for dinner virtually since the opening and our move to Bethlehem.
The staff – from the front, through the amazing, friendly servers, to the quality/likability of the bartenders – incomparable!
The kitchen – we have literally been across the entire old and revised menu and have never been disappointed – huge, quick (if you want it), and delicious.
The management – please, try and find me a more knowledgeable beer sommelier who knows and taps every style and taste preference across an incredibly broad spectrum and works with his bartenders to produce cocktails that are mind blowing. His skills in enhancing the “Bistro” vibe, while ensuring the efficacy of the staff in mixing warmth, speed and service with a smile are second to none!
Clean, sports TV friendly while not overbearing, music (please, just a little more 60’s and 70’s Nate!), family welcoming and very fairly priced are understatements.
We find a “Cheers” with each move and my long global career have brought me to many pubs, diners, all level of restaurants (Michelin to Dives), bistros, bars and cafes – the “Flying Pig” is at the top of my recommendations, for a beer, drink, good food and the answer to “where should we go tonight?
While the ribs tasted good, they we over sauces and the smaller half of a full rack of ribs. I would image that might be cost prohibitive to serve the full rack, but if a restaurant advertises a full rack, they should serve a full rack. Don’t get me wrong, the half rack was plenty to eat and I would have take some home like I did with the pork chop a few days prior. The presentation of the food a nice. I did expect more pork items, but I give them kudos that the non-pork selections look pretty tasty. Therefore, there is something for everyone on the menu.
I will go back because the food and place is enjoyable. I’m sure my review of the food would have been different, but for the false advertising on the one item…ribs!
