I don’t always invest my precious morning time in a coffee run, but when I do, I prefer it to be a smart, high-yield investment that pays dividends in caffeination and good vibes. The Flying Fox in Greer, SC, is not just a coffee shop; it’s a financial planner for your daily routine. Forget your traditional drip coffee—that’s a low-interest savings account. I’m talking about the Violet Eyes specialty latte, a coconut and lavender dream for the modern man who knows that treating himself is a key part of his personal balance sheet.
You want value? This is where you find it. While the Broken Record latte clocks in around a perfect $7.01 (rounding up for my smart investment strategy!), the experience is priceless. The service is so fast and consistent, it’s practically its own reliable distribution channel. I saw a dad there trying to manage a toddler and a laptop, and the barista handled his complex order with the precision of a day trader closing a triple-digit profit. That kind of reliability is gold in the chaotic market of parenthood and productivity. Plus, they serve real, locally sourced pastries—no mass-produced junk here, just high-quality assets for your stomach portfolio. If you’re in downtown Greer and need a boost that’s a sure thing, land at the Fox.
I don’t always choose my beverage wisely, but when I do, I stay caffeinated my friends.

Either for lounging or for work, I recommend on taking some time at the establishment. Between the delicious & unique beverages, the simple yet wonderful food item, and the different options in finding a comfortable corner (as in tables & chairs vs couches & leather lounge chairs), I can see this place as a home away from home. Or a working environment that I would actually spend my day in.
Plus the staff & owner are polite and lighthearted people.
(I got a Violet Eyes and a soft sugar cookie)

This place has great coffee! Decaf and cold brew. I got nitros with splashes of milk and honey and it was so so good! It is busy on the weekends. Especially Sunday since it’s the only open coffee location in the downtown Greer area. There are bathrooms. It is accessible for strollers or wheelchairs. There is ample seating. Love this shop!

We are so glad our favorite coffee shop moved just across from its old location. Flying Fox is by far the best coffee shop on Trade street. The coffee is excellent and we love their seasonal specials! The Mint Condition latte is wonderful. Their regular coffee menu is great and we recommend the broken record. The new location has a great food menu. The waffles are fluffy and delicious. The savory waffle was a nice surprise.

Got the kiddos some chocolate chip cookies. Bought a fresh bag of beans from a roaster in Asheville NC and got my latte free with the purchase of beans. Good vibes and fun names for food and drink. Will definitely be returning.

Very cute coffee shop. Stopped here after dropping a friend off at the GSP airport on my way back up to CLT. I was really hoping to grab a snack for my drive, but their kitchen stops serving food at 3pm. The food menu did look enticing though. I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it definitely did its job of keeping me up for the remainder of my drive. The barista was so nice and welcoming. There’s plenty of indoor sitting and a couple outdoor tables. My only complaint is that they don’t have a storefront sign, so I honestly had no idea where it was when I driving by. I just trusted the GPS and found a parking spot on the street (I had no problems finding a parking spot on late Saturday afternoon). Then I walked until I could see their name on their door. The Flying Fox is in between a boutique and a hair salon.

This is a delightful cafe! The good is gloriously delicious and hot! Mom loved her waffle! I loved the sausage, egg, cheese biscuit sandwich! So good! Thank you! The hot mocha latte and my iced mocha latte were great!
It’s handicap wheelchair accessible and friendly souls opened the main door for us. The restrooms are also wheelchair accessible.
The parking is a struggle in Greer’s Trade St as always.
There needs to be much larger paintings on the spacious brick walls and from more than just 2 artists!
Keep up the great work!

Cute place! The decor is beautiful and they made the coffee pretty fast. The environment was a bit loud for my studying preference but plenty of people seemed to be doing just fine. They closed their food menu right as we were to order (around 3:15 pm) so unfortunately I wasn’t able to try anything.
Lavender latte (or cappuccino): 3/10, too sweet for me

Great coffee! The Avocado toast is really good!
I just wish the girl working there was a little bit more friendly, she looked like she doesn’t want to be there.
But overall is great! We will be back!

Cool vibe, excellent coffee and superb service, what else could you want. Cozy coves and rooms with fox/sculls/poet theme to work or hang. Or put yourself on full sale display in the display cases. Enjoy.
