My family and I love coming to the A. We can always count on fresh, hot and delicious food! Our go-to’s are the burgers, coneys, sandwiches and of course root beer! Nice cozy spot for a good meal! Shout out to the owner Malik and our favorite waitress Taylor! ✌ ❤️

This was such a fun drive-in!
Let me start with, the food is fast food. But being from Missouri, we do not have the type of hotdogs Michigan has. Kogels have this nice crisp bite to them. The coney sauce is not like at home where it’s a true chili, and this restaurant offers their own hot dog with red sauce, and it’s excellent. The fries were fresh and crispy, and the cheese curds were cooked perfectly. I also have to give a shout out to theor diet root beer. It does not taste diet at all.
The bad, our waitress was super nice, but wasn’t the greatest at refills, kind of just left us hanging. Then, other staff members were filling ketchup and napkins (which is great), but they were talking about other staff members and not in a positive light. Just felt really inappropriate and unprofessional with customers present.
And the really bad. I know this place is older. It has history, but the carpeted floors were so sticky that it nearly pulled my flip-flop off. Some minor upkeep would have made a world of difference in my experience with the atmosphere. The walls have a lot of fun retro decorations to look at, which just enhances the nostalgia of going and grabbing a dog. But the cleanliness or lack thereof was a turn-off.

Flushing A is hands-down home to the best coneys in the world—no exaggeration. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid over 40 years ago, and it’s still just as amazing today. The flavor, the snap of the hot dogs, the chili, the perfect bun—it all hits just right, every time.

Been coming to flushing a for a few years now but tonight getting takeout has been the best experience. I can’t believe how appetizing my burger looked when I pulled it out of the wrapper after the drive home. It tastes just as good as it looked. Cheese curds also tasted amazing

My husband & I pulled up to Flushing A to try it for the first time tonight and it was perfect out. I love the vibes it gives off in the heart of downtown. Even just sitting in the car and waiting was super fun. The workers are very friendly here, we pulled up about 20 minutes until closing and our food was very hot and fresh. We each got a bacon cheeseburger I got a single and my husband got a double while I got cheese fries and my husband got tots and of course we had the rootbeer’s. All I can say is wow. I’ve never been a big burger person but I just found my favorite one. I love how you can taste the grill on the burger, I’ve never had anything like it before. I’m very impressed with how many things are offered. We want to try the chicken sandwich, fish and chips, the chicken strips, and the spicy chicken next time. It was an 11/10 experience, we can’t wait to come back, thank you Flushing A!

This is a wonderful little local diner sitting in an older A&W location. The food is super high quality! Fresh local beef, all beef coney dogs made from scratch and a homemade bottomless rootbeer which completely sealed the deal for me. Family run business, was able to survive Covid by the hair of their chins, but is making upgrades and keeping the prices very fair!

The food here is always good and this place is such a great asset to the Flushing community. I cant wait to make it to one of their cruise ins next summer. My favorites on their menu is the double cheeseburger and cheese curds. The only downside about this place is that it sometimes takes a little while to get your food, but it is well worth the wait. #TAGMichigan
