While heading North to hike for the day, my wife and I stopped in Cornelia and found this quaint and welcoming cafe downtown. The owner couldn’t have been kinder and had a great sense of humor. He was all alone working during the lunch rush, but we patiently waited 25 minutes for our meal.
It was absolutely fresh, delicious, and I couldn’t recommend the food more, BUT I have to take it down a star because of two overcharges on the bill. The meat and potato pie on the menu said it comes with a side salad. It’s a very small garnish of a salad, but I was charged $2.50 extra for it. That was nowhere mentioned and I certainly would have passed on it. $15 was a little steep then, in my opinion, and not the posted price. All of the danishes were listed at $6.50, and we were charged $7.50 for ours. It was good, but definitely not worth it. I’m not going to go broke over an extra $3.50 (and I still left 20% because the owner was so nice and all alone), but the deception of the overcharging left a bad taste after a nice experience. I’d still return, but will be more aware the next time.

Love the scones! The bear claws and cinnamon rolls are also amazing! We can’t wait to try some other options. We’re so glad to have such a great bakery in town!

Checked out a delightful bakery in Cornelia this weekend and it was really delicious. The chef is British, friendly and kind and takes beautiful pride in his baked goods, coffee, salads and sandwiches. We all decided we couldn’t wait to visit his Cafe next time we were there! If you go, tell Colin we said Hello!
10/10 highly recommend

FWS was recommended to me by a client and I am so glad I trusted her. The food here is AMAZING! I bought one of their quiches and it was the best quiche I have ever eaten. I then had to get one of their scones for a snack tonight and I can’t wait to try it. Everything is made on-site. Fresh and delicious!

Fantastic European-style pastries and breads which are refreshingly NOT sugary-sweet. The true flavors of the butter and other ingredients are delightful. Fresh homemade sandwiches. Wonderful coffees and teas. We were super impressed on our first visit. Owner (Colin) is delightfully funny and very friendly. We’ll be back.

My wife and I stopped in today to buy some bread after hearing about FWS from a friend. The owner was very friendly, so we decided to have lunch as well and were blown away by the quality of everything! What a pleasant surprise! We can’t wait to try the beautiful cheese bread we bought for dinner. We’re very excited to have a bakery in the county that doesn’t just make cakes. We will most definitely be back!

I stumbled upon FWS bakery while trying to find someone to make my wife a strawberry cheesecake for her birthday. I am so glad I found this place. Without a second of hesitation the owner said he would do it for me even though it was last minute. The cake was so delicious and beautiful. I can’t wait to try all of their other menu items. The owner was beyond nice and helpful. It’s so hard to find amazing service anymore, but this place is top not h. Such a nice man who owns the place. I wish more people were so wonderful.

My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch here. I got the special of the day, a ham and cheese sandwich with a yummy sauce (croc meseur bechaml) and my husband got the chicken salad sandwich which he said was the best he’s ever had. We’ll be back!

One of the best loaves of bread I’ve ever eaten. The pastries are out of this world. The scotch pie made me think I was still over in the UK. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed!
