We had excellent steak, excellent cocktails and excellent service (thank you Abrahm) at this lovely rooftop restaurant. We shared the porterhouse and it was almost too much for two people. We enjoyed our dessert and entree very much and left full and happy.

I really wanted to like this place because I was craving a good Argentine steak house, but was disappointed. First the positives: good service, nice rooftop views of adjacent domes and that’s about it. The food experience was a three at five star prices so the value was not there for me. First you are offered a free cocktail, that weirdly tastes like chocolate. It’s bad, and neither of us drank it. Not sure how that drink ties into the Argentine steak house concept. Then you see the prices on the menu and it takes your appetite away: two empanadas $20 dollars? And so on. The steaks are charged by the gram, a 16 oz ribeye will run you like U$100… I ordered a slightly smaller one and it came cut! You will never have your steak cut in Argentina, you drain all the juices. The salad was mediocre and the mash potatoes were very starchy and a tiny portion. The wine list was limited and the by the glass choices were passable but not great. By the time we finished the steak we wanted to cut our losses and walked to a nearby churro place to have dessert.

In the past 12 months I have been to Florios in San Miguel at least 5 times and every time was great. I have sampled the full range of their menu and enjoyed it all. The Florio salad is my favorite. It’s a meal, but you can also share it with a friend or two. My favorite entree is the Chicken Milanese. Florios cooks it to perfection; a flavorful dish, tender chicken. Last month the waiter overheard my husband mentioned it was my birthday…and the wait staff totally surprised me with the perfect birthday dessert at the end of the meal.

We had a wonderful dinner there tonight. The ribeye was cooked perfectly as were the crispy fries that we ordered. The grilled veggies were also much better than expected. The service by Sophia was outstanding and the prices were all reasonable. We got to enjoy a nice partial view of the sunset as well. Overall, I can highly recommend when in centro for a really good steak and great service.

Elegant atmosphere, incredible food, and flawless service!
I really loved the atmosphere — it’s elegant but still relaxed, and the service was excellent. The food here is hands-down the best I’ve had in San Miguel on this trip.
The pizza was perfect: amazing dough, a great char from the wood-burning oven, and just the right balance of flavors. I also ordered the steak, and it was spot-on — juicy, tender, and seasoned simply but perfectly. They didn’t overdo it, and it came out exactly right.
I made a reservation ahead of time, but it’s worth noting the restaurant is only rooftop dining with an incredible view of the cathedral. As you walk in, you can see the chefs at work — their kitchen is spotless and well-organized, and it shows in the quality of the food. These guys run like a well-oiled machine, and it’s easy to see why everything comes out so perfectly.
Honestly, with food and service this good, this place should have been packed last night. It deserves way more attention than it’s getting.
I’ll definitely be coming back before I leave this trip!

Want to love this restaurant. The service was on point. Pizza was excellent. Raviolis were awesome. The salad was delicious. Filet mignon was a little dry for my taste but good. Suggested wine, a Tempranillo, pared brilliantly with the steak. However, nobody seemed to care that the men’s room was overflowing.

A very nice rooftop restaurant in San Miguel de Allende. The artichoke hearts with blue cheese were excellent. The staff was attentive and welcoming.

Don’t bother, worst rib eye I have ever had. Too tough to even eat. Green beans were too tough as well! Not sure how the got such good ratings.

I found Florio’s on a list of locals’ favorite places and it did not disappoint!! Located right in the centro of SMA with a gorgeous view of the parroquia, Florio’s has an impressive and ample terrace. We were welcomed warmly by multiple staff members and told the cocktail of the day. We ordered Florio’s take on an aperol spritz and a mojito Vallarta. Both were a generous size and deliciously refreshing. Neither were too sweet for us. I ordered the gnocchi with shrimp and mushrooms and it was to die for! Not exaggerating, best gnocchi I’ve ever had. They were perfectly cooked, soft, fluffy pillows that held their shape but melted in my mouth. The sauce was creamy and buttery and so decadent. We also ordered the 3 países pizza which was a true Neopolitan – cooked over a wood burning fire and perfectly light and fluffy crust. We will be coming back and look forward to ordering and trying different plates. Highly recommend Florio’s for a comfy and intimate dinner that will not disappoint.
