We’ve eaten here a few times in the last couple of months. Writing this I’d say the service really stands out. It is always exceptional. I appreciate that the owner seems to be there often. I’ve seen him bussing tables when he isn’t working the register.
I’ve wanted to order the fried chicken, but the 20 minute wait made me hesitant. The last time we visited the waitress told me if I order the chicken I won’t be disappointed. I did and she was right. I ordered the 4 piece Ann white and the serving was huge. No way to eat it all there. I thought the breading was done well.
We’ve had breakfast there and think it’s good too. I did order blueberry pancakes snd didn’t care for them. The blueberries are in a sweet compote pored over the top, not cooked inside.
Meatloaf is pretty good too.
I’ve noticed there is usually a good crowd there so that’s a sign that it is a good place to eat.

First time here and it was a very nice place to get something to eat. We went on a Saturday evening and it was 12 degrees outside. We decided to drive the 35 minutes to get here and glad we did. I had the pork steak and my wife had a huge club sandwich. We tried to eat here one other time for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was packed. You know it’s good when you can not find a parking spot ,so we knew right then we had to try it someday. The staff is great.

Nearly 40 minute wait to get our French toast and sausage. Second meal was egg croissant sandwiches with has browns

Hash browns looked like burnt waste they found on the floor
Waitress told us 20 minutes after ordering the kitchen messed up. 15 minutes later we got our horrible food. Only thing that was eaten was the cold French toast
Waitress rudely stated “syrup is on the table”
When she coupd tell we were clearly annoyed by the wait. Table behind us got their food fast but paid and left. Don’t think they ate anything
There are better places to eat this place will no longer get a cent from us

When you go somewhere new you normally get something safe, well we got chicken tinders and a burger, and we’re not surprised by any means, had zero flavor fries were not salted, the burger was just ground burger meat no seasoning or salt at all so I attempted to drown it in ketchup did not help it at all. The chicken tinders tasted like they were breaded with just plain flower. We also ordered fried picked which were extremely salty and no crunch to them at all. The absolute best part of the entire meal was the soup. The soup genuinely the best soup I’ve ever had in my entire life, I’ve been day dreaming of that soup sense the moment the last spoonful left my mouth, the soup was by far a 10/10. The food was probably a 1/10, if I ever go back it will be for the soup. Service was great too.

We had dinner there the night before and brunch the next day. The food was excellent both times! Great service too! There are limited family dining places in Flora. This is a great option! My compliments to the owner and all the wait staff and cooks for an eating experience well done!

Everytime i have been, no one ever asks if we would like a refill, always have to wait quite awhile for someone to be ever come to my table to greet us, take our order, then don’t even check on us after. My 2nd time there she was very kind, and then never came back.

The food and the service was wonderful! Our drinks were never empty. Our meals were all correct, and every person working there had smiles on their faces the entire time we were there. The price was good too. 10/10 recommend.

We were grateful to come across this hometown diner on New Years Day as it was one of only places open, but we even more pleasantly surprised by the service and the affordable, diverse menu. Our family was able to sample the breakfast, lunch and dinner entree options at the same meal. Only wish we were able to sample the desserts as they looked and sounded delicious

This is a typical highway diner having an extensive menu to meet anyone’s taste. The portions were very generous. My teriyaki beef stir fry tasted exactly as I expected and had tender meat and lots of vegetables. The side salad was huge and the ingredients fresh. The cook made my wife a custom grilled Swiss cheese and tomato sandwich on caraway rye which she somewhat enjoyed but would have preferred it to be more toasted. Oddly, when we didn’t order right away, the server seemed miffed and proceeded to ignore us. We waited another 10 to 15 minutes for someone to take our order. After that, service proceeded smoothly.

We ended up going here 2 times in a day and both meals were great! Space is big enough for a family get together and staff was very friendly!
