We had a great dinner at Flor de Jamaica tonight. We arrived only a few minutes before closing and they were very gracious to seat us and take care of us. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing! We will definitely be back!

My first chile en nogada of 2023. I’ve been wanting to come here since 2020 but it’s a bit tricky without a car. A friend who recently moved here has a car and so I asked to take her to dinner (my treat) for her birthday.

This chile en nogada was delicious!!! It was my friend’s first (ever). Price is competitive too.

Highly recommend!

Wow they have good happy hour margaritas and wonderful hors d’oeuvres. Although in Spanish they are called entremeses. If you’re a native Spanish speaker be kind, I’m doing my best!

Fantastic pizza every time! With an opener like that, you may wonder why I’m giving them three stars. The service has been really underwhelming each time. Not terribly underwhelming, but enough so that I hope the owner reads this and does something about it.

The last time I came for a special occasion with friends and we arrived 45 minutes before closing. They said they could make me tea because the coffee bar was closed. All it takes is hot water and tea bag, kids. I wasn’t asking them to go and pick the tea leaves!

We’ll come back again for the pizza and hopefully the service gets better. Otherwise, I’ll just place my orders for delivery.

I have visited this place on various occasions with similar results (today there was bad traffic into town) so we thought, why not, maybe they have changed. WRONG! My friend got a veggie burger that was cold and had bacon on it. Say what? Soups came out lukewarm, the guacamole was a tiny portion with a few chips, and now I am visiting the porcelain throne due to my enmolada enchiladas. This place is sub sub sub par and I am never going back! You have been warned!!

Good dinner on a hot day. Service was great. Food was good. My only suggestion would be more salsa choices. The mint tea was so refreshing on one of the hottest days in San Miguel. Tostados were delicious. Tacos needed some condiments. Meat was flavorful. Nice dog friendly terraza.

I live in the area so this is the local restaurant most people like to go to however it’s very hit and miss, mostly miss.. one night you’ll get food that’s pretty good and then the next night you’ll get food like did they just pull this out of the refrigerator? However I have not tried the pizza yet and when I get my courage up I will come back and check out the pizza, as a long time pizza maker I know what a good pizza is..

Great setting in a quiet garden. Often have live music which is nice and never loud. Popular with residents of Los Frailes since it is the only choice. The food is insipid. It tastes like premade packaged food that is barely warmed up. I did not have the pizza which seems to be popular. The service is extremely slow and seems concentrated on pizza delivery and take out leaving one bored waiter for the restaurant section. Beer is cold so just go for a beer and enjoy the music.

Relaxing atmosphere. This is a local “corner” restaurant. Do not expect high standards you might find in the Centro. Most of the people who live in the area knows the staff on a first name basis.

The staff is friendly. The pizza was extra thin and crispy but delicious. The only downside is that service was fairly slow. We often had to stop different servers to request something.

If you are living or staying in the area, have plenty of time, and more interested in good company than a quick meal, and do not want to go to the centro or Main Street, then give this place a try. We will be more than happy to return because of the pizza.
