It’s a bit overpriced for the amount of food you get. The food was decent. The pancakes were dense. The service was good. The waitress came back many times to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was good, but just really seems overpriced.

Pros: I was going somewhere else, saw this and thought I would try. Nice inside. Friendly service. Excellent food. I couldn’t finish it all, and I can eat. The omelette was 2-3 inches thick. Pancakes were thick and fluffy. Very surprised. 6 cooks and they were putting out some food.

We went to Flips for the first time today after moving here from Colorado. We were seated right away. However, after about 20 minutes we had to ask for drinks. Our waitress finally came and took our drink and food order after almost a half hour of sitting there. Food came out quickly which was great as we were hungry. Unfortunately, we had no silverware, after tracking someone down for that we finally we able to eat. Food was ok. Omelette was good. Biscuits and gravy were plain, not much taste to them. Overall we were disappointed 🙁

I’ve never been in and out of a place so fast with exceptional service. I was greeted and sat down before the door shut behind me. Everyone works well together. Our server had our order out quick and checked in us regularly but it wasn’t over done. We were in and out before knew it. And it was 10am on a Sunday. Great job Flip Pancake House!

I’ve lived in Illinois a good while and have ate breakfast at a lot of places, but this place is the only one I’ve been to that served WARM SYRUP to go with the hot blueberry pancakes! All restaurants should do this! For that alone, it’s 5 star! Throw in a waitress who was outstanding and I wish I could give it another 5 stars! I will be coming back!
