Casual pizza chain serving brick-oven pies & other Italian eats, plus beer & wine.

This is a nice pizza place. It is sort of in between a restaurant and a take out joint, as it does both. It’s a new restaurant, and the layout is enjoyable. They were able to comfortably seat our party of 6 with two young children. The server was polite and attentive. The pizza was also pretty good. They have a wonderful variety of toppings. We had a 3x pepperoni pizza and a double cheeseburger pizza. They have a number of beers available as well. The only downside was the price. Two pizzas could feed five adults, but it will cost you more than any chain pizza place. Still, it would be worth going to occasionally when the wallet is full. I’d visit again.

We received a free pizza coupon as a promotion for their new opening. We went and sat down and the server was so friendly, enthusiastic, and high energy! She was fantastic. We had two other people come and check on us as well. Great service!
They were so accommodating for our dietary restrictions (dairy-free) and they did not seem put-off by us using our free coupon. We insisted on giving a tip for their excellent food and service and they insisted that we did not need to. We still did!
It was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious! It was so fresh, the crust was light and not too heavy and bread-y. The sauce was incredibly flavorful and you could just taste how fresh the ingredients were.

This place has such delicious pizza. I especially love their sausage, which to me is usually too strong but theirs is better. They have a wide selection, and the chicken alfredo pizza is pretty amazing too. My friends and family, we all love it. It is a cozy environment and the service is just outstanding. They make you wanna come back. I am so glad we have a place like this around. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

We had a good but not great visit to Flippers Carrollwood. Maybe it was our mistake to not ask for the pizza/pasta order be put in right away when we gave Ricki our requests. Maybe Ricki (who is very nice and friendly) should ask if guests want the order put in right away instead of after salad is served? Anyway, we waited a good 30 minutes or more after finishing our salad. The roll/breadsticks came out with the meal and I think they should come out with the salad right? The food is really delicious and fresh and made to order. Even the grated cheese and red pepper is refrigerated and fresh for your table. As for value for the money it is average. A family of four could easily spend $30-40. Service is very good except when you are waiting for your food to arrive. We had the customer appreciation coupon which save us almost $9 so that helped us feel better about our experience. Still undecided if we would return without a good coupon. Pizza business competition in Carrollwood area is as fierce as the BBQ biz!

I have been eating here for almost a year and never had a complaint until Wednesday evening. I ordered the Marinara Penne Pasta, with sausage, meatballs and roasted mushrooms. When it was served it was dry, not enough sauce, cheese and the pasta was burned. I was totally disappointed. The service was spectacular as usual. I know the owner would not allow this dish or any other dish to be served in this manner. I still have the leftovers. Sincerely disappointed

Went here this weekend for my son’s birthday party and the staff was so helpful in helping us plan and host the party. They were so accomodating and friendly, I was impressed. Our server was awesome, and so was the food. We tried a few different specialty pizzas and they were all delicious, but the Vesuvio was agreed to be the best! Thanks Flippers!

It was amazing! We got bacon double cheesburger pizza and Hawaiian, which was so awesome, it was very fresh and way more than we expected. The quality was just perfect and the bread sticks were the best. The caprissi was great and also the waiter offered us his own special Margherita pizza with prosciutto ham on top, mmm the best pizza weve ever had! Loved it, would deffinitely come back here with friends.

This was absolutely horrible. AND expensive. I wish I could post the picture I took of the pizza. You would laugh your ass off. We will never get their pizza again. Two of us got sick. I called the store and asked for a manager to let them know and they hung up on me. If you are in the Carrollwood-Northdale area, stick to NY Best pizza (in the plaza where Sweet Tomatoes is) They have awesome pizza, and better prices. Even Hungry Howies or Dominoes would have been better than this and at a 1/4 of the price. A two topping pizza and a single serving salad was $32 plus tip.

good pizza, and I like the prices. Very clean and nice table layout, glad we are getting some decent pizza back in Carrollwood. One topping pizza and a soft drink for under $8.00, can’t beat that.

My server was very nice and helpful (sadly I don’t remember her name). I ordered a beads ticks appetizer and a meduum chicken alfredo pizza. The breadsticks where delicious, so much so I forgot to try the red sauce that came with them. I expected it to take a while for my pizza to made, but the wait was much shorter than I anticipated. The chicken alfredo was great, and left me with some leftovers to take home. Overall I have no complaints. I will be eating there again.
