First visit to Flip The Bird. Loved it. Good customer service. I ordered the “Ya Basic” Chicken Sandwich and added cheddar cheese… the chicken was Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Very tasty. The bread buns were very soft kinda buttery. Will definitely be returning.

By far the best hot chicken sandwiches we’ve had. A simple menu with well-executed food. We had the Nashville Hot, the Buff Chick, fries and vanilla shakes.
The chicken was just spicy enough and the flavor of this fresh chicken breast was outstanding. Sometimes these Nashville hots can be so hot that you deaden your taste buds. Not here. It’s BIG flavor.
The one slight negative was that the room was freezing cold and the ceilings are so high the restaurant is loud. There were many to-go orders going out the door, and it would be great if there were a few picnic tables in warmer weather.
Overall, we give very high marks for the food and service. We will go again and again.

The customizations the chain offers is incredible. But if you plan on building your own sandwhich, get ready to pay for it. All the toppings cost money, even the veggies. You can choose a biscuit instead of a bun and can customize the level of hotness.
If you take away all the toppings and just try the chicken, its average compared to other chicken competitors. But the fact that you can customize, makes the experience worth it.
All the ingredients were fresh. The sauces have unique delicious flavor. The fries tasted fresh.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. The parking lot was small but the location wasn’t busy when we visited.
Overall I would eat here again and would recommend to others.

Flip The Bird is incredibly overpriced for what it is. I payed 20$ for a chicken sandwich, drink, and fries. The sandwich by itself is 9$, and each add-on costs extra. The fries were basic and unseasoned, the honey mustard that came with it was more like a regular mustard, sour in taste. The sandwich was nothing special at all, and the pickles that came on it were immediately removed after I tried one and they tasted entirely like regular cucumber slices, not pickles. The hot honey did save the sandwich slightly, but not enough for me to finish the whole meal without throwing away a majority of the 20$ I wasted. In addition, it would be much better if there was a fountain machine for soft drinks so that you don’t have to constantly go to the front counter for refills. My final straw was when they decided to play that talentless, industry plant, garbage can sombr’s “music”, immediately making me want to get up and leave. If I wanted goyslop I would go to McDonalds instead. Overall, service was good but the food needs to be improved or dropped in price.

My girlfriend and I wanted to find a new spot to try for date night. Our M.O. is usually to find a fast food spot, find a large parking lot nearby, seclude ourselves in the darkest corner we can find in the lot, and pig out (because we’ve been starving ourselves for the whole day by this time) while watching YouTube.

We both purchased The Buff Chick, and both were in agreement that we had made the proper choice. That sandwich is huge, and worth every dollar. We were obsessed with that sandwich, and sounded like two rabid bears fighting over a meat slop bucket while eating them. My girlfriend told me to turn off the headlights, and turn off the interior lights so nobody could see us.

Flip The Bird was a real treat, and I’d highly recommend going to your own secluded lot nearby (we chose the Michael’s parking lot) and eating it with the lights down low. The interior doesn’t call for staying inside to eat, but the food is absolutely amazing.

Edit (for clarification): You can eat inside (and that’s totally cool too if you want to), but make sure nobody can recognize you, because all manners will be lost in attacking these sandwiches.

Thanks!

If you’re a connoisseur of spicy foods and love a meal that can challenge your palate while delighting your taste buds, then you absolutely must visit Flip the Bird in Danvers, MA. Their Chicken and Waffles served “Angry Style” is a culinary experience that truly stands out, even in a crowded field of innovative dining options. And while you might find yourself waiting a bit for your order to be served—a testament to the freshness and care put into each dish—this time is made all the more pleasant by the incredibly friendly and attentive staff.

From the moment you walk in, you’re met with warm smiles and an eagerness to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. The staff at Flip the Bird are not just service providers; they’re culinary enthusiasts who are happy to share insights into the menu, offer recommendations, and even share a joke or two, making the wait time fly by.

Upon the first bite of the Chicken and Waffles “Angry Style,” you’re greeted with the perfect juxtaposition of flavors and textures: the waffles are light and fluffy, offering a sweet, comforting base that initially tricks you into a sense of security. Then comes the chicken—juicy, tender, and coated in a crispy batter that holds onto the sauce like a dream. It’s this sauce, the “Angry Style” kicker, that will set your taste buds ablaze, in the best way possible.

Despite its heat, the dish is remarkably well-balanced, with the sweetness of the waffles serving as the perfect counterbalance to the intense spice of the chicken. And don’t forget to try the fries with garlic aioli sauce—a side dish that stands out on its own. The fries are perfectly crispy, and the garlic aioli is creamy and full of flavor, making for an irresistible combination.

Dining at Flip the Bird is not just about enjoying a meal; it’s about the entire experience. From the friendly staff who make you feel right at home, to the carefully prepared dishes that push the boundaries of traditional comfort food, it’s a place that invites you to enjoy not just the food, but the warmth and camaraderie that comes with it. The Chicken and Waffles “Angry Style,” accompanied by the delicious fries and garlic aioli, is a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for a meal that’s as enjoyable as it is spicy, in an environment that feels welcoming and vibrant.

Flip the bird has some REALLY good chicken. I tried the Nashville hot and was pretty impressed by the tenderness and juiciness of the meat alongside how crispy it was. I also was a big fan of the fries (very salty if you like that) and even bigger fan of the house-made Bayou sauce. I would put that on anything.

At the end of the day what makes me knock it down from a 5 to a 4 star is the price and portions. As good as it is, this is still a fast food restaurant and $10-12 per sandwich is pretty up there, ESPECIALLY when they do not include fries with the meal. The sandwich alone was not enough to fill me up, it’s about the same size as a KFC or Popeyes sandwich which will run you about $5/6. It’s definitely better but I don’t think it justifies double the price personally.

Always love Flip the Bird. Fresh food, chicken is tasty, great fries. The only thing that I would change is the buns, which can fall apart. I still would recommend Flip the Bird to anyone who wants a chicken sando.
