NOTHING was as pictured on the menu!

The Maklouba was a mixed casserole with mostly rice. Upside down had no effect. For $18.00, I received one chicken leg, three small slices of cooked unripe tomatoes, and three small pieces of cauliflower. Yes, mostly rice. Very bland.

The mint lemonade did not taste homemade as touted, was sugary, and had very little brown specks of mint that could not be tasted. Look at their photo and my glass and you see nothing in common. $4.00.

The Turkish coffee came in a regular size coffee cup, and I was not asked if I wanted it sweetened or not. Unremarkable.

The baklava was not crispy sheets of phyllo oozing honey with each bite. It was bread like dough and tasteless. I threw it in the garbage.

The place was deserted. Now I know why. I have traveled the Middle East and Turkey. Love the cuisine! I couldn’t have been more disappointed with this choice. I certainly don’t recommend it.

Could the other reviews have been written by the owners friends???

Went here for the first time today and will definitely be coming back often. Kind staff and all of the food was absolutely delicious. I would recommend the stuffed grape leaves, baba ghanouj, msakhan, mjadara and both of their desserts. Definitely come check this place out & have one of the best meals of your life.

I ordered food, not a prank. This looked NOTHING like the pictures. The rice was so gummy I could’ve used it as bubblegum. Whoever approved this needs to taste it once and explain themselves. Worst meal I’ve had since I moved to the U.S. Don’t waste your money.

Second time eating at Flip It. Food was great and the menu has expanded a lot since our first visit. Hummus was terrific, the falafel sandwich very tasty and my picky eater teen daughter loved her vegetarian dish. The entire meal was very good. To those people that said in their review their food didn’t look like what was pictured on the menu I have to ask if that burger you get at McDonald’s looks like what’s advertised? Doubt it. We’ll be back to support Flip It and look forward to trying other dishes.

First off, this place looks stunning and is so clean and warm. Love the vibe and atmosphere in here. Second, and most important, the food here is absolutely amazing! I was just walking by and decided to stop by for a quick lunch and was so blown away by this delicious food, seriously. I will definitely be a return customer!

We wanted to try something new and chose this place based on reviews. The food that came out was not how it was portrayed/pictured on the menu. The chicken and rice was okay. The meatballs were tough and covered with what tasted like a plain tahini sauce. The dessert was what we were looking forward to, but ended up being a huge disappointment. There was no browning/golden or crispiness (from pan frying) on the knafeh, as pictured on the menu and on Google—it was white (looked like raw shredded phyllo) and greasy on the bottom and the colored topping was a pink syrup. I took a small bite and was met with a mildew/feet flavor, probably from old cheese (think of very old feta soaked in brine), with a sugar syrup and stale pistachios on top. It was a terrible end to an okay meal.

We were traveling to North Carolina from New York. Saw this place on TikTok and really wanted to try. The decor was making us nostalgic, food was delicious. Every single dish was enjoyable and perfectly made highly recommend for the locals and anyone traveling into the area.

Very very tasty authentic food. The Kunafa dessert was so buttery and savory. The Mjadara (rice dish) was very hearty and tasty as well. I also had the meatball sandwich which was very filling. The service is very good and everyone is so sweet. There’s also a breeze in the restaurant which makes the environment very peaceful.

We were excited to try Flip it for its reputation as an authentic Mediterranean spot. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.starting from the sampler platter which was not very tasty, to the lemon mint drink which was basically a regular lemonade( not as we saw in the menu). The Maftoul tasted bland and far from what we’ve come to expect from this cuisine, and the Maklouba was clearly not prepared with traditional techniques. For the premium prices we paid, we expected far more. We’ve had better, and more authentic, versions of these dishes elsewhere for half the cost. The food was a letdown, and the inauthentic flavors made the high price tag even harder to swallow.

I visited this restaurant for the very first time last night and it was amazing! Upon entering, the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. My server, Richard, was very helpful, knowledgeable, humorous, and patient with me. I ordered the Sampler Platter and it was delicious. The owner is very sweet and spend time ensuring that she checked in with patrons during their dining experience, and conversed with each table with a very warm smile and spirit. She also provided us with education information. I then found out that the restaurant serves authentic Palestinian food. The other Mediterranean restaurants in the area serve more of the Turkish or Afghan style of dish. I also ordered the Maklouba with dark meat chicken and it was very tasty. The black tea was also made to perfection. I look forward to going again. It very much ha a home/family vibe. I felt very well taken care of.
