My Experience at Fletcher’s
I recently visited Fletcher’s to place a to‑go order and was very disappointed with the overall experience. Upon entering, I was greeted by a woman who asked how she could help. I told her I wanted to place a to‑go order, and she pointed me in the direction of where to do so.
The restaurant was not busy (about 10 customers total), yet I stood waiting to be helped for approximately 15 minutes. During that time, several employees passed by me without saying anything or offering assistance. Eventually, I walked over to the bar area to try to get help. The bartender initially ignored me and only acknowledged me after Mr. Fletcher himself came out from the back.
When my order was finally taken, there was no greeting, and the employee seemed more focused on assisting someone at the bar than addressing me. The floors were very sticky, which made the restaurant feel unclean. While staff members had their hands out for tips, basic customer service was noticeably lacking.
After placing my order, I waited another 30 minutes for my food. When I interacted with the waitress again, her attitude made it seem as though customer service simply wasn’t a priority.
Overall, this was a frustrating experience. I expected much better service and cleanliness from such a well‑known establishment. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed and unheard.
This is why black businesses are not supported.

I dine in on 2/202026 Friday lunch Menu, the waitress Mayla is usually upbeat and customer friendly. I notice she was not at her best, one customer complaining waiting for an hour for food she was trying not to leave without payjng for her coke, she left, then two young ladies came in and sat across form the register, 30 minutes later they were waiting to order then they walked out,
Two older women came in Mayla yelled out sit any where you want and they sat down near me, they asked about the food, I told the food was very good and I have patron thus establishment over 10 years, but then when they asking Mayla about ordering she was very short and inpatient walking off while they were still talking, they left out without ordering,
I was less tolerant because my food wings were hard, and some of the wings were broken and small, I asked Mayla about my wings she shrugged it off as if your food is not valued by the cook. I asked for my salad twice did not received it, nor a refill after being their over an hour……, I left too without asking for the food I paid for…..,
I hope she will understand that we have been patronize since AL’S Pizza House, we value the service and the money we spend…., Mayla has been a smile for great service in the past, yes we all have good days and sad days, but sometimeswe have to reset for good/great/excellent customerservice, but Friday was the worst service ever….. , Looking to eat here again, maybe soon……,

I’m writing this review after realizing that my grandmother was charged nearly $30 over our original bill. I try to spare businesses, but after balancing her books- I believe I should warn the public. I also have chosen to write this from my burner to avoid doxing at my business. Long wait times, disorganized, missing orders, etc. It was an absolute disaster from the time we walked in the door. The waitress (the only one running things-you’ll know when you see her) stated that she had been working there for years yet she continuously forgot everything all because she didn’t feel she needed to write things down. What topped everything was when she forgot to ring in my grandmother’s food and my grandmother was the only one sitting with a salad and nothing else. My grandmother tried to order her original order and then the waitress comes out saying she couldn’t sell it to us and she wouldn’t do us “like that.” Please. She also kept trying to sell us the wrong order. In customer service, it is necessary that you accommodate customers when YOU as the business mess up. Then, I found out that she skipped showing my grandmother an itemized receipt on the digital pad (my grandmother didn’t know any better). It wasn’t until today when I was balancing her books that I realized she still charged my grandmother for the meal and additional charges (outside of tips, gratuity, etc.). My sister peeped everything that was going on and we tried to give grace, but I see it now. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! It’s unruly, overpriced, and a disgrace to the Decatur community. Food was basic at best. As an attorney in a local community, I love to support local Black businesses but draw the line at any business that is untruthful to their patrons.

Food and service was excellent per usual. My first time here in about 2 years. I need to come back more often. So many things I wanted to try but my appetite was as big as it used to be lol. I ordered the Sweet Heat wings with lemon pepper sprinkles. Next time, I will get pizza or philly cheesesteak…. hopefully it’s still on a pita.

Ordered some hot wings, crispy. Not only were the wings NOT crispy, they were barely done! I had to pick feathers out of a few before I could eat them and the wings barely had any sauce on them. Fries are cheap side but we only had about 6 steak fries with no celery. When I called the young lady asked could I bring it back and I told her I was already at work, couldn’t leave but could text her the pics. She said she couldn’t just give out her number to anyone…LOL Like I would have any reason to contact her after sending the pictures! Never going back.

so 1 of my bff… decided to take me to dinner…
my bff got here at 556p. she called me and asked what i wanted to drink…. i arrived at 608p to no drink .. but my bff said the waitress was coming back….. table was dirty, so she was coming back to wipe off the table…and every time she came, she was missing something…(joked about he previous statement to another coworker.. she wasnt suposed to b there) ….wiped table with a wet towel…. nothing to wipe the moisture with…so she had to come back……she ( the waitress) had already said she she wasn’t gone to come to work… so once we ordered, it took at least 30 mins to get our drinks….we then still waited.(this cancer is boiling… the Geminiis the calm one) …. and when she finally came back, she said they were short staffed.. I have been coming here for at least 5 years..
got here at 6p… ordered…. drinks came 1st round… after waiting to order we not going talk about the drinks.
we ordered salmon Philly with onion rings (homemade) …. lasagna with Ceasars salad and bread….
7p… the salmon philly (only the sandwich) came 706p the lasagna (only)
we asked the server where everything else was she said that when they put stuff up in the window, they bring it out… no matter what if it was ordered together….. we then asked the server for a manager she said they didn’t have a manager on staff …. so finally a young lady came (kk)….took my salmon philly back…. and brought me back
719p the Ceasars salad came …. is only lettuce and radish (if that… it was supposed to be
