The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Friday night, with only about eight tables occupied, yet the service was extremely slow. Our server apologized multiple times, which we appreciated, but the delays were still noticeable, especially given that the restaurant did not appear to be understaffed. The sides were enjoyable, and we had no complaints there.
On our way out, I stopped to use the restroom and noticed the toilet paper was nearly gone, fortunately, there was just enough. The restroom itself was also not very clean and had an unpleasant odor.
Overall, I wouldn’t place this restaurant in the same category as other high-end steakhouse chains like Mastro’s, Ruth’s Chris, or Perry’s. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but the overall level of disappointment and dissatisfaction made this experience hard to overlook.
We were informed during booking that birthday accommodations and table decorations would be provided, but the evening quickly became disorganized once service began. Two servers were taking orders for our large party, which created significant confusion. Guests seated on one side of the table either received incorrect meals or never received their food at all.
Several orders had to be converted to to-go meals because the restaurant was closing before food arrived. Even then, the to-go orders were incorrect, placed in the wrong bags, and included charges that should not have been on the checks.
The birthday dessert experience was also underwhelming. My boyfriend was served a crème brûlée that was cold and had the texture and taste of packaged pudding rather than a freshly prepared dessert.
As a professional chef and culinary arts instructor, I understand the challenges of large-party service, but there appeared to be little urgency to correct ongoing issues even after management was made aware. Half of our party left without properly eating, which is unacceptable for a planned birthday celebration.
For perspective, my personal ticket for just two guests exceeded $325 before gratuity, and many others in our party also spent significantly. At that price point, guests reasonably expect coordinated service, accurate orders, and properly executed food. Unfortunately, that level of quality was not delivered.
My own steak was not cooked to the requested medium temperature, but given the extended delays affecting the table, I chose not to send it back. By the end of the evening, we felt rushed out rather than celebrated.
I do want to acknowledge that one of our servers was excellent and professional throughout the night. However, overall service coordination, food execution, and management response fell far below expectations.
We specifically chose Fleming’s over other restaurants for this celebration, and it was disappointing to leave with guests still hungry and a birthday experience that felt chaotic rather than special.
The table was lightly decorated. We enjoyed surf and Turf meal with some very good cocktails of blueberry lemon drop and strawberry basil gin.
As an added touch We were given champagne with our desert and a picture to remember the night!
We also had a fantastic server which just added the cherry on top of a great Experience!
1. We are sober. So we sent the wine/drink menu back. But no one asked if we’d like something besides water to drink. Not an offer of iced tea or even soda. This bothered me the most. I could have spoken up, but felt we were kinda shunned bc we weren’t drinking alcohol. That may not have been the case, but other steakhouse have mocktails and other fun non alcoholic drinks.
2. Started with crab cakes. The sauce was bland, and im not sure if they were cooked through. They really weren’t hitting.
3. Moved onto french onion soup – delicious
4. Ordered 14 oz ribeye – delicious
5. Side of corn Brulee – decent. Ordered it bc it sounded different.
6. Flemings Potatoes- uneven cook some even tasted raw. We barely ate them. And we didn’t bother taking them home.
Based on appetizers and entrees we decided to grab dessert at the chocolate bar a few doors down.
