Outback quality with fine dining prices. The menu was very limited. The steak was just ok, it came out to cold to melt the espresso butter they topped it with and the crab stuffed lobster was tough. Then we chose Mac n cheese because they were out of potatoes and it tasted like it came frozen and was microwaved. The drinks were great and so was the bread they bring out. Had calamari for an appetizer cause they were out of crab cakes and they were good. They were out of a few things so we had to change our order more than once. The atmosphere was like a normal chain restaurant with white tables cloths. Overall not a top pick for fine dining and way overpriced for the quality.

Excellent steakhouse with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Staff was very professional and the food was great. We went here for our anniversary and enjoyed it. The price range for the quality food was on the mark for sure.

Delicious food and fantastic service from our waitress!

I will say they didn’t bag up all of our food when we asked for to go containers which was a little disappointing. There wasn’t a lot left but we still wanted what was left (two different girls were doing it together though so I bet it was just a mix up)

The food was also overly salty (even though it was still very good) It was late so we didn’t request it to be changed but I probably would have if it wasn’t so close to closing.

BEST mocktail I’ve ever had in my life!

Still a beautiful restaurant. We went for lunch so it was ‘team service’ – underwhelming at best. For the price, I have had better steak and experiences. Unfortunately, on day 2 of gastrointestinal issues from said lunch. There are finer restaurants in town. The Gooey chocolate brownie used to be my absolute favorite and even that was a disappointment.

What a great place and not just for steak!! We had a celebration and arranged the private room. The service was exceptiona, servers were always prompt, friendly, and frequently checked if we needed anything. The appitizers were fried calimari and burratta with prosciutto – both excellent starters and tasted great. Ceasar Salad was amazing, just the right blend of dressing over the lettuce. We enjoyed the Filet, Boneless Ribeye, and BBQ Salmon. The Filet was amazingly tender, smooth as butter, cooked perfectly, and was simply seasoned – on of the best I’ve tasted. The ribeye a perfect medium with a simple salt and pepper season – immaculate! Although I didn’t taste the salmon, everyone else loved it – cooked great and not dry. The sides of mac & cheese, potatoes, and asparagus were great additions. A side note, the asparagus was a little stringy on the ends, the only dissapointing part of the meal. Lastly the desserts were brownies or carrot cake – both sweet and decadent! I don’t typically enjoy steaks from restaurants (such as typical steakhouses) because just aren’t that good BUT Fleming’s is not like the others – they set the bar for other steakhouses to try to reach. I definitely will return. Great staff, great food, and great atmosphere!!

We went in for lunch service in December and had a very mediocre experience. We have dined here many times and the past few times have not been our standard.
We had a reservation and arrived early. When we were seated we were rushed. The hostess told us they closed at 3 and it was around 1:30. We had 4 different servers (never happened there before) and they did not communicate. All of the tables around us had issues that involved kitchen errors. Half of our steaks came out with no grill marks, they all looked grey and very disappointing. My filet was so dry I had to swallow it down with water not to get choked. Our highlight of the meal was our side of potatoes.

We had a few other complaints so I emailed customer relations and never heard anything back from them. Not even a “we’re so sorry” email. I’m typically not one to complain at restaurants having worked in them for almost a decade, but when you pay for a fine dining experience and get low quality, it matters.

When we arrived there were like five other tables filled, we should have known then and left. If you aren’t filled on a Saturday night there’s a problem. The atmosphere was not good. We just watched a girl fling around tablecloths covering tables and cleaning glasses. We saw what we think was a female manager walk by numerous times but she never talked to us or asked us how our food was.

I was hopefully when our waiter finally came to the table. (8 minutes after we sat down) He was a really nice guy, made suggestions and brought refills fast. But the food, oh man..the food.
My husbands salad did not look fresh. He got a Caesar salad and said it was not good. He also got lobster bisque soup and said it was ok. (His exact words were it’s ok but it’s not Bricktops quality) For our meal, My husband got lobster and a filet and I got a filet too. I asked for medium well and my filet looked raw in the middle I was shocked. After waiting an hour for it I didn’t want to wait any longer or have them take it to the back and throw it in a microwave. I tried to eat all the corners but they were not even cooked all the way AND I hit grizzle/fat corners. I have never gone to a steak restaurant and had fat/grizzle on my filet. So I didn’t eat it and the waiter didn’t even ask why. ((That was the only thing bad I can say about him)) my husband ate his lobster and said it was good but he didn’t eat his steak, had two bites and went.. nope.
I had read reviews about the lava cake and really wanted to try it. Once it finally came it looked good but wasn’t cooked right, it was like someone smacked some cookie batter or pudding on a plate. Ate a few bites of it and just asked for our check. $300 for our meal.. THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS and we left semi full only because we ate two loafs of sourdough bread with their garlic butter waiting on our food to come.
I would not recommend this restaurant at all. We love to fine dine and have a lot of favorites on 280 and wanted to try something new. We were really hopeful but with Bricktops, Perry’s and Ruth’s Chris so close we will never return here.

The Carpacio was delicious, salad was great, whine was good. My steak was good not great. I expected better. Maybe we just got a bad cut, but parts of it were very chewy and not edible. We had five steaks and two of them were like this. The rest were excellent. They did offer us a discount and were great about it. Desert was delicious. All and all we enjoyed the place.

First time at Fleming’s for our Anniversary dinner. Environment was nice, as were the people. Our waiter was excellent. The steaks, however, was a major disappointment. My wife ordered a Fillet Mignon. Our waiter assured us that ‘medium’ is pink all the way through with no red. When she cut into it (which arrived very quickly), it was deep red throughout, so we had to send it back. It came back better, but still too raw for her. She didn’t want to wait any longer, so she ate it. But besides being under-cooked (for her liking), it was a little tough, and flavorless. I ordered the Prime New York Strip. It was cooked a perfect medium, but was one of the worst cuts of New York Strip I’ve ever had. I expect some fat in a Strip, but not as much as this had, and there was so much gristle that it made it difficult to eat. I left probably about 3 oz. of fat and gristle on my plate… the waiter actually thought it was left-over steak and asked if I wanted it boxed! I told him that no, that was in-edible, and he didn’t comment, apologize… anything.
For the price of these steaks, I wouldn’t expect any bad cut of meat, much less 2 out of 2 to be bad. These were worse that I would get at Outback or Texas Roadhouse… for 1/4 of the price. We were hoping for a great new place to eat in Birmingham, but unfortunately, we will not be back. I’ll take Ruth’s Chris any time over this.

Went for a Valentine’s day/bday dinner on the 15th and we had reservations. Had to wait a few mins while they set up the table but it was nice with little decorations on it. Even though it was 9 at night by the time we got drinks and ordered, the waiter didn’t know what sides they had and didn’t have, when I asked about sides on their Vday special menu, he had no idea what I was talking about(even though he said he would walk us through said special menu and never did) so I pointed it out, he asked and they were out of most of the potato sides and the corn brulee. That’s what we wanted but we got the au gratin potatoes instead(it’s all they had) and he assured us they were what they were known for. The pimento cheese spread and sourdough bread was so good. The espresso martini was great as well as the lobster bisque. Our food came fairly quickly. The waiter didn’t hover but came back to check on us fairly often. I knew when I touched my fork to my 11 oz filet that it was raw, but I cut into it and it was deep red to purple. My husband got the Australian wagyu and it was kind of thin and almost rare at one end and medium at the other(we both ordered medium rare and we are kind of steak snobs and eat it weekly). His was also very greasy. He said it tasted like it had been basted with the wagyu tallow he uses at home. But it was still good he said. I was able to eat a bite off of the ends of mine that weren’t too raw. The waiter came back around and saw mine and asked to cook it more. We were over halfway done at this point and it was getting late so I declined and asked for a box so I could microwave it at home. He brought me a box and we had to pack the food up ourselves which hasn’t usually happened at other places on that level. The potatoes were ok but nothing special that I don’t usually do at home. There was NO seasoning and they could have used it. Even just some salt and pepper. The miso glace was great on the steaks because they also could have had a nicer crust on them and needed a little more flavor. I liked the mac and cheese as it had the most seasoning of anything. It was supposed to be Cajun but it wasn’t anywhere close. Just decently seasoned at a mid level. I love bread pudding so my husband asked if they had it. Waiter wasn’t sure and had to go ask. He was nice but very unfamiliar with what they had and didn’t have and had to keep asking other servers. He brought the bread pudding out to go(deconstructed in containers) and put our stuff I had already packed into containers with it in a bag so they could quickly clear the plates and bring me the box of truffles and 2 glasses of champagne as a bday treat. They had been in the fridge and were kind of hard and not soft as truffles should be when you eat them but the gesture was nice. We ended up paying 350$ for a steak I had to pack up and bring home to microwave so it was cooked properly. He had 2 beers at 16.50 ea plus my one drink for 18, my steak was 65 and his was around 100 I think, our sides were around 20 ea, the soup was around 25 and the dessert was around 20. Compare those prices to the pics of what we got and the quality. It wasn’t there. Glad we tried it and checked it off the list but it wasn’t close to the other places on the same level we normally visit. In the pics my steak looks brown near the outer edge because that’s what raw meat looks like when left out for a bit and it was less cooked on the top than the bottom. If I could tell it was raw by the give the meat had when I pressed my fork to it gently, the cook had to have known when handling it as well.
