I was asked at check in if I was celebrating a special occasion. I was celebrating my birthday. When I arrived at the table there was a sign, confetti and a lovely card from the staff. I was immediately given water, bread and Fleming’s two cheese spreads.
I loved the open view of the kitchen and the cherry blossom tree in the center of the room. The lighting was perfect. My server Dixon was AMAZING. He had a table of 10, a table of 4 and me. I was worried I would get lost in the shuffle. I never waited for anything. He was very attentive and always had a smile on his face. There are many runners (water service, food delivery, plate removal) that help the servers which allows the service to flow efficiently.
I started with Caviar Service and a small Seafood Tower. The Caviar Service was fantastic. The blini were the best I have had. The Seafood Tower was overcooked and didn’t taste fresh. Served with 3 sauces and warm drawn butter.
There was an effortless flow as the managers, servers and runners moved about the restaurant. Smiles all around.
For dinner I ordered Scallops and Wild Mushroom Risotto. As you can see in the photo, the scallops were not up to the standard I would expect to see from Fleming’s. The scallops were burnt on the outside. The risotto was mushy and the flavor wasn’t there. My dissatisfaction was met with understanding and the matter was taken care of promptly.
I also ordered a Petite Filet with butter poached lobster and caviar. I have ordered this at multiple Fleming’s locations and this was one of the best by far. Perfect medium cook on the steak, perfectly poached lobster, well seasoned, creamy sauce.
For dessert I ordered creme brulee. Did not disappoint!
I was also given a glass of champagne and chocolates in celebration of my birthday.
10/10 would recommend the North Orland Avenue Fleming’s for a night out in a softly lit, beautifully decorated restaurant with fantastic service and great food.
Any issue I had was efficiently and kindly taken care of by the Operations Manager, Randy Vargas. I appreciate the kindness that both he, and my server Dixon showed me.

I did have an issue with two situations that would not deter me from returning but I feel are worth mentioning.
The five hostess standing at the stand was a bit much. Out of the five, only one of them seemed to want to be there. She was also the only one who seemed to realize her job is in customer service.
The first drink I ordered from the bar was very watery. It was served in a tall glass. There was no flavor to the drink with the exception of tasting like water. The second drink I ordered I requested in a short glass. The glass was shorter but also larger in diameter making the liquid inside the same amount. It again was very watery. I did not order another drink.

The service was attentive and welcoming, the steaks were cooked perfectly, and everything from the sides to the cocktails was top-notch. My wife talked me into the “Prime Pours and Pairings” event today Friday 10/11/25 for our anniversary. Every time we come, the food and service have been amazing. Glad we tried something new and went with this event including food/wine pairing. The 5-course menu was great, 2 wines per course old/new school (enough said), and a killer dessert, made for a great evening. Not a big sweet person, or dark chocolate to be honest and the cherry tart was lights out. Looking forward to the next event. Enjoyed being in a private room with only 3X 6 tops. Sorry I forgot pictures on the tenderloin and short ribs course. Neither lasted long and were also fantastic. Everything was well executed and timed well.

I brought my wife here for her birthday and our anniversary date combined and it was the best decision I’ve made in a while. I let the staff know ahead of time why the night was special for us and they went above and beyond in every metric. The gave us the best table in the house underneath the tree with the best lighting imaginable, they decorated our table as well and the food along with the service was literally 100/10 they couldn’t have done better if they tried. This place truly is wonderful and we’ve made it a tradition to dine with Flemings on our anniversary every year. I also want to mention how wonderful the manager is, she came by our table to make sure that our date was perfect and she was just very sweet and genuine. All in all the night was unforgettable and we will definitely be back.

We’ve gone to this location a few of times. We were happy to see they were open for lunch when our regular steak houses in this area (The Capital Grille and Ruth Chris) was not. The wine list was very nice. We enjoyed our salads, our appetizers, and our steaks.
