•I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and confetti corn. It was SO GOOD! Everything about it. Delicious. My wife had the grilled teriyaki chicken sandwich and green beans. She says the sandwich was really good but the beans were pretty average. The other two guests had the pesto salmon alfredo and a ribeye. The consensus was that the pesto salmon alfredo was absolutely delicious as was the steak. The steak looked to have a perfect cook in it.
•For drinks we had an old fashioned, house negroni, ‘pear’adise mule and a have one on me. The old fashioned was good, pretty mild, makes sense why the coloring on it was really light. Like I said, it was weak, but still good. The person who ordered the negroni had never had one before and didn’t know what to expect. I will give this an incomplete rating because they had no idea what to expect. The mule and tequila cocktail were both very delicious and very much enjoyed.
I will definitely come back and will probably try something else to eat, not because the food wasn’t good, but because it was so good I want to enjoy other items on the menu that are probably just as tasty!
Initially we were told a 20 minute wait for no reservation, but they seated us within 5 minutes of waiting. Drinks and food came out pretty fast too.
Apps were great, pot stickers and flatbread. I had the Nashville chicken sandwhich and it was delicious.
Reccomend them all!
We were downtown without any pre-planning trying to find somewhere without a wait. Wandered to the edge and poked our heads into Fleetwood. They were surprisingly slow for a Saturday night. First time, totally cool atmosphere. If you are unaware this is a sister restaurant to LeadBelly and Toast!
They update their menu pretty frequently plus had an additional list of specials you can’t find online. One of their schticks is their “Dirty Devils.” Random fancy Deviled Eggs with rotating flavors. My husband tried the Carbonara eggs which he enjoyed just fine. We also ordered the Fried Mushrooms, Portabellas and Onions with a bit of a kick. They were yummy but originally delivered with the wrong sauce (a lemon aioli which came into play later). When brought out the intended Honey Mustard it made a lot more sense!
He was trying to choose between several meaty entrees and finally decided on the Porterhouse Pork Chop. He added a bowl of Broccoli Cheddar Soup that he Loved and it was only 4 bucks! This dish contained so many of his favorite things…Gorgonzola honey butter, Cheddar Bacon Whipped Potatoes, and Blistered Green Beans. His Pork Chop was cooked perfectly and he was happy with Every Single aspect of his meal!
I had to try the Fish & Chips from the Specials Menu thinking they’d probably be similar to LeadBellys. Imagine my disappointment when served pre-fab frozen filets. As far as that goes they were one of the better ones. House-made Hushpuppies were really doughy and I couldn’t eat them. Fries were partially seasoned and okay. I didn’t care for the Pub Sauce but the Lemon Aioli mistake from earlier was the saving grace to accompany the Fish!
Finished with a Signature Cocktail, the Jay Made Me Crazy. A fruity rum drink with many components it was Very well balanced and Delicious! Our server seemed distracted like she’d had a long day. Still got a great tip. Kitchen closes a bit later at 10pm. We left before then. Plan on going back but will probably ask a lot more questions with my order!

Edit to add I was pretty much immediately contacted by corporate to address any and all issues!
Went and tried the new Breakfast Buffet. The server was efficient and on point takening care of things.
Disappointing when the drinks came rammed to the rim with ice every time. Had literally three mouthfuls of apple juice before I needed a refill. Typical old bartender trick…
Breakfast potatoes were dry as cardboard and tiny in size. Eggs were made w premixed egg beaters. Sausages tasted like frozen typical junk. Bacon not much better.
The macerated fruit had a pretty awful taste. The salad was decent with a nice house dressing.
The waffles were flavorless and frozen. The pastries offered tasted like something from a box. Chicken Nuggets were definitely from a freezer bag
It just tasted like a really cheap hotel breakfast. And I travel extensively.
Won’t be back, lesson learned. Staff need appropriate uniform not staggering around in jeans and baggy old beaten sweatshirts.
I will be going back to Granite City for my Brunches. Might cost more, but it is phenomenally better. This is more suited for college students on a budget. Not somebody with a pallet.
