I am SO happy I chose this stand at Southern Market. The day I visited it was ridiculously busy and they still got my food out to my so quickly. The chicken tikka was absolutely incredible loved everything abt it. The mini samosas were a great appetizer as well. Seriously don’t miss this restaurant at Southern Market.

First time coming to Southern Market and had a hard time deciding on which place to choose in this beautiful food hall but went with Flavors of Morocco. We got the roasted spicy chicken and a side of hummus and pita and both were DELICIOUS!! Started to eat and then realized it was too amazing to not take a pic and post a review. Highly recommend!! Tried this stall in the market and was so happy! The person working was very kind in helping make sure I knew when my food was ready. All the flavors were great and great portion sizes. People kept coming up and asking what i was eating.

Most unwelcoming and ill-treatment I’ve ever received from restaurants.

You’ll pay 30$ per person just for frozen food

Adding my detailed extremely disappointing experience post owner’s response –

HOSTILE SERVER EXPERIENCE

My three friends and I visited the place hoping for a pleasant dinner, but unfortunately, the service we received completely ruined our evening.
Initial Issue:
I ordered the Chickpeas (veg) from the “Platters” section. The menu states that “Platters” are “Served with basmati rice…”, while the Chickpeas dish description doesn’t include rice as an ingredient, I reasonably assumed, as is common in many restaurants, that the rice would be served on the side, separate from the main. When my order arrived, the rice was mixed directly into the chickpeas.
Service Failure:
When I politely inquired about the dish and mentioned my assumption, the server’s response was incredibly poor and unprofessional.
Rude and Dismissive Reaction:
Her initial reaction was, “So what do I do about it?” delivered in a very rude and confrontational manner.
Unwilling resolution:
After I suggested she could help resolve it, she reluctantly (with clear exasperation, negative body language, and face-making) took the plate. When I noted that separating the rice might not fully resolve the issue, she thrashed the plate down in an aggressive display of anger before finally agreeing to remake the dish. This behavior was shocking and made me feel terrible.
Incomplete Remake:
When the plate returned, she had only served the re-heated chickpeas in a smaller plate, omitting the beets, carrots, and greens salad that are specifically mentioned as part of the platter service.

Continued Hostility:
Upon trying to thank her for the corrected dish, she signaled her annoyance with a hostile “what else do you need” gesture, making it clear she was displeased with having to serve us.
Lack of Attentiveness:
This overall poor interaction was compounded by the fact that we had difficulty getting her attention earlier. We were waiting to call her over (about the rice issue), and she appeared to actively ignore us even after another server intervened.

While I appreciate that we were guided to a parking spot earlier and that she accepted our order close to closing time (around 30 minutes before), if the kitchen or staff are unwilling to serve customers near closing, it would be much better to politely refuse the order than to provide this kind of hostile and demeaning service after accepting it.
Hospitality requires patience and a welcoming attitude, neither of which were displayed. The rudeness completely overshadowed the food and ruined what should have been an enjoyable evening. I sincerely hope management addresses this serious issue of customer service.

Delightful! Everything! I had a wonderful lunch on Sunday. From the staff to the food. Everything was top notch and fresh. The cooking was out of this world and tasted so delicious. I was transported. Staff also went above and beyond explaining the dishes and spices and offered this amazing tea! I will be back!

Located in the Southern Market in Lancaster, many food stations to choose from. This one is a favorite of ours. The food is delicious! It’s in a very clean, large building. We visit here when we’re in Lancaster.

There should be a secret sixth star on Google, as a way to say, “No FOR REAL this place is amazing!”

This place gets 6 stars for their delicious Moroccan dishes. The chicken tagine is stunning, and fresh made hummus is always a treat. Southern Market has a lot of impressive options, but this is a real standout.

Southern Market itself allows you to choose food from about 8 shops around the outer wall, get a drink from the bar in center, and hang out at one of many available tables. A Lancaster staple, and Flavors of Morocco is the leader of the food game!

Still really good. The flavors are strong and well-balanced. The family cook beautiful food. The lamb tagine is one of the best meals in Lancaster City. The chicken tagine is always divine.
If you’re not eating here as part of your life in Lancaster, your life in Lancaster could clearly be better.

My husband and I only tried the potato samosas and a piece of the baklava because we were trying things from several of the stands at the Southern Market as it was our first time there, but they were great! I definitely want to come back and try some of the other dishes they have. The owners of the stand were very friendly as well!

I took my dad here for his birthday and he said it was the best present he’s received in 85 years. Bushra really made it special for him with cake, sparklers and dance. Thank you Bushra!

The food was absolutely delicious and the so carefully presented.

The entire night was absolutely MAGICAL! It was an authentic Moroccan experience – complete with music, dancing, and traditional dress. The setting and atmosphere is just beautiful.

We are so lucky to be able to experience Flavors of Morocco in Lancaster – a once in a lifetime experience.
