When it comes down to it, a meal begins as an impulse, a simple electrochemical signal between cells in your brain. When you think of or like that, real food is more analogous to the idea of food than we care to admit. It’s for that reason I’m not mad that I ordered from here, paid for my food, then never received it. I’m not mad that my food was never thought of, or that my food never was even made, or that the restaurant seems to have never existed in the first place. Really, it’s my fault that I’m still hungry, that my debit card is depleted, and that the joy and exuberance that once defined me is now only a memory, my ashen husk haunting the yellow light under the El like so many starving ghosts. I should be grateful for the mere suggestion of food in this cold, bleak world. But this website is ugly and I won’t tolerate that.

A Disappointing Experience
My recent visit to **Flavours of India** was extremely disappointing. We ordered **biryani for takeout** through their kiosk, and the experience was far from pleasant.
First, the **service was very slow**—we received our order much later than the promised time. When we finally got our food, the **biryani was terrible**. It had **zero flavor**, just an overwhelming amount of **red food coloring** that made it look artificial and unappetizing.
We took **just one spoonful** and immediately knew it was inedible. The taste was so bad that we had to **throw the entire biryani in the dustbin**. It’s shocking that a restaurant with “Flavours of India” in its name could serve something so bland and poorly made.
**Never ordering from here again**—waste of money and time. Would not recommend to anyone looking for authentic or tasty Indian food.
