I was home for a visit and wanted to have brunch with my family brunch with my cousins and one of them suggested going to “Flavor Brunch” and it was an excellent choice. Our waiter Derrick was so sweet and so patient with our table. He made sure we had every thing we needed for a great breakfast. ALL OF THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! ALL of the food came to the table at the same time. The presentation of the food was very nice. I ordered the chicken wings and I have never had chicken taste so good. I’m not sure how they fried it but it looked like something in a magazine.

Service – 3.5/5. I’ve been here a couple times. The first time, the waitress we had was excellent. She was super sweet and she checked on us consistently throughout our entire time here. The food and drinks also came out quick after we ordered. The second time, we had a different waitress. She was nice, but both my food and drink order ended up being incorrect. I don’t know if the waitress wrote it down wrong, or if the kitchen messed it up. But maybe they should repeat the order back to the customer.
Drinks – 4/5. The mimosas are delicious and the Jameson green tea drink is also bomb. The NOLA coffee is really good if you want something warm. I didn’t really enjoy the Long Island iced tea. I ordered the peach one, but I’m pretty sure they gave me a plain Long Island, I didn’t taste any flavoring.
Shrimp and grits – 4/5. I ordered the mini portion. The grits were very good and they were cooked well. If they had added just a couple more shrimp, I would give it 5 stars.
Chicken and waffles – 3/5. The fried chicken wings were delicious!! They were seasoned and cooked perfectly. I would give the chicken a 4 out of 5, only negative is that the wings were pretty small for the price. The Georgia peach cobbler waffle gets 1 star for me. I don’t know if they put too much of the peach sauce, or if my meal was sitting for too long before being brought to the table. But 90% of my waffle was EXTREMELY soggy, and it made it really unappetizing and unpleasant to eat. I don’t mind when things are a little soggy, but this was way too much. I don’t like mushy, soggy waffles. If I went back, I would just order a plain waffle or ask for the toppings on the side.
Catfish – 3/5. I thought the catfish needed more seasoning. It also looked like a lower quality catfish than I’m used to. I would not order it again, but it wasn’t terrible.

Flavor Brunch & Bar, 17575 S. Kedzie Ave. Hazel Crest, IL 60429. All the staff were very friendly. The food was very good. We sampled the Fried Green tomatoes. (Good) The Henny Mimosa (Good) .Fried Catfish & Waffles (Excellent). Salmon Croquettes (Excellent) Cinnamon Sugar Beignets (Excellent) Nola Garlic Bread (Good). Cajun Fried Wings ( it could have been our order but it was just ok). Fish & Grits (Excellent ) Our overall experience was very good. It’s definitely worth checking out!

I just drove 40 minutes there to pick up My $65 order for it to be messed up. I placed my order through DoorDash pick Up and had to wait an additional 20 minutes. They were extremely busy. Got my order we checked to make sure we had all containers and went home. to my surprise there was absolutely no jerk chicken in the Jerk Chicken breakfast skillet. I contacted the restaurant and was told that I can contact DoorDash and they may refund my money or I can come back to the Restaurant to get A side of jerk chicken. I already did a Hour and a half round-trip to pick up some food and she suggest that I do it again for one piece of jerk chicken. Absolutely not, that was a $65 order and that meal was $18. A complete rip off. I basically paid $18 for two eggs and a few potatoes.

Nice vibe. Food was good and the servers were great. The chicken was fried perfectly and well seasoned. The macaroni wasn’t a favorite, it was mushy and too much cheese and not enough noodles. The smothered rice was tasty with a little spicy kick.

My first visit .. Overpriced over rated 6/10 croquette bites were bland and mushy, my son got the basic pancakes, eggs n sausage IHOP looked better , I got a salad it was just ok .. server was like .. blah im just here $54 nope not again

1000/10 experience! we came on a day where they were short staffed & it was just 1 server on the floor, but she still managed to take amazing care of me and my friends.Food came out fast despite being understaffed, everything was hot and fresh. The manager (chris, i think) came by and spoke, asked how our experience and the food was. He was back there whipping up our drinks for us & had great music going. Absolutely love this place and will forever have a customer out of me! Will definitely be looking into having them cater up coming events our family hosts.

Stopped by this morning to get breakfast and asked the person working what time they opened. Instead of a simple answer, I was met with a very rude attitude. It immediately set the wrong tone, and I decided to take my business elsewhere. First impressions matter, and customer service is just as important as the food.
