Started from humble beginnings, a hard working immigrant family, with a passion for food and community, wanted to bring an authentic Italian experience to the heart of Washington D.C. Flavio DC was born and has been achieving this for many years through its interior decor, Italian-style service, and pasta-pizza-wine culture. Merging modern fine-dining with classic Italian cuisine and stone baked pizza artistry, you truly feel like you are somewhere in Italy. We are located at the corner of 31st and M street NW D.C., this venue has become a well known travel destination for tourists and feels like an Italian trip for local residents.

Tucked away on a Georgetown side street, Flavio occupies a charming old building blending industrial and rustic decor. The spacious interior and outdoor seating offer plenty of room.
Service was attentive, perfectly complementing the delicious food. We started with fresh bread served alongside a flavorful pesto olive oil dip – a simple but excellent beginning.
The star of the show was the Lobster Diavolo for two. This Chef’s Choice Pasta lived up to its reputation, featuring tender lobster meat, shrimp, and scallops bathed in a rich, perfectly spiced tomato cream sauce. The portion was big but there were only two pieces of lobsters.
We will definitely return to sample more dishes from Flavio’s menu.
We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and Mekki’s pizza. Everything was delicious. We look forward to dining here again when in Georgetown and we highly recommend Flavio and ask for Leila.
The portion of the lobster pasta is huge, one plate is enough for 2 people, or even 3. And it tastes great! Generous amount of seafood, goes really well with buttery spicy tomato sauce. (It’s not really spicy, but you can taste the chili.)
Their tiramisu is also great, I would come back just for it. It’s moist, not too sweet, flavors are well combined. You can really taste both the chocolate and the coffee without the typical bitter flavor. I was already very satisfied with the pasta, but the tiramisu elevated the meal to another level!
Our main courses were the veal scalloping customized with marinara sauce. I enjoyed the sauce it was sweet and reminds me of Sicily. Our second main was the chicken piccata. The white wine caper sauce was flavorful and briny.
The staff was friendly and our food arrived promptly. I would recommend this place and will visit it again on my next stay in DC.
