This is a mixed bag. What was good was really good- the candied yams, rice (loved the spiciness), cabbage and collards. The jerk chicken was okay and the oxtails- let’s just say I’d avoid those altogether b/c the quality is so poor I questioned if these were real oxtails. Don’t get the peach cobbler- it’s watery. The quantity of the food also doesn’t match up to the prices. I’ve paid half of what I paid here and have gotten much better quality and quantity at our normal spot (which was closed). I also found the food salty. I’m surprised that people say this place underseasons everything- I found it way too seasoned, but that may be personal preference. Also, please bag better. Or double bag. I had a bag full of liquid spill out by the time the food hit my door, all the containers were soaked in food b/c it had seeped out, and upon opening the bag and containers, my sweater got stained badly. So now I have a dry cleaning bill as well. All in all, $100 down the drain for this. ($80 for food, $20 for dry cleaning on an expensive sweater).

Well the oxtails was rubbery, and I ordered from uber eats I did not like the bake Mac. I thought the bake Mac was hitting its salty And I also did not like the shrimp baby shrimp fried hard rubbery shrimp and y’all didn’t give me my guava drink so I will not be coming to y’all no more bye And I seen a piece of hair in my food Y’all can do better just cause people order from Uber Eats don’t mean you can make people food horrible Keep that in mind guys, I am a very unhappy customer!!!!!!!! I’m nine months pregnant too so you know I’m pissed!!

I got the jerk chicken, with a side rice n peas of Mac n cheese and the food was SPECTACULAR!! The chicken fell off the bone it was so tender, the flavor was immaculate, and even had a nice kick to it! Reading the other reviews I was in distraught because this place is nothing like what the reviews said. LISTEN TO ME! You will not be disappointed in their food. It is delicious, super affordable for a great portion, and amazing service! Best 15.99 I have ever spent!!

This was my first time trying this restaurant, and overall, I’d say it was pretty decent. When I called to inquire whether they had oxtail, the friendly and kind woman who answered said yes, so I let her know I was on my way. That’s when she explained that you actually place your order over the phone and pick it up at their drive-up window — it’s not a dine-in restaurant. I was perfectly fine with that and thought it made the experience more convenient and unique. I placed my order, and she asked if I wanted the large or small platter, explaining the price difference. Since it was my first time trying the food, I opted for the smaller platter.
When I arrived shortly after placing my order, my food was ready, hot, and waiting. The woman at the window greeted me warmly, remembered my order, and even included a menu for next time. Her kindness and great customer service really stood out and made me want to come back, which I will.
As for the food — the sweet potatoes were delicious, tender, and perfectly seasoned, not too sweet. The oxtail was nice and tender, with beans that were also tender and flavorful. The portion (even though I ordered the smaller platter) was filling and satisfying. The macaroni and cheese was fairly good — not my favorite, but decent. I also liked that the cornbread was cut thinner instead of the usual thick, dry style — it was soft, moist, and pretty good.
Overall, everything was reasonably priced, the service was excellent, and the meal satisfied my craving. Looking forward to trying more of the menu!

I always get the jerk chicken combo which includes jerk chicken and ribs. I got mac and cheese and candied yams. I get this every time. It’s fantastic. The meat falls right off the bone and the candied yams help to counteract all of the spice. It clears my sinuses every time.

H O R R I B L E!!! This is why business is not for everyone.. food was the worst.. & as you know I’m MILITARY & have ate around and back of the . Was greeted with 1 of the meanest African American Man in the food business.. To all you who complained about the cornbread I took that on the chin.. But when the food is H O R R I B L E.. This a quaint mom and pop store but the portion sizes are crazy small. They only have large and extra large but their large looks more like a small. It’s not worth the money. The food is also bland and dry.

Highly recommend the jerk chicken. We have ordered this at least 20+ times over the past 3 years and the taste has always been consistent. The meat is fresh, literally falls off the bone and is adequately spiced.
