I’ve ordered here several times recently. I haven’t had a dish I didn’t love! My go-to is the rice bowl. My boyfriend loves the burritos (pulled pork and carne asada burritos 10/10). The food is so fresh and the portion sizes are fantastic. When we order takeout, the presentation of the food is still great. I highly recommend their grilled shrimp dishes. The grilled chicken is amazing too! They have two different sizes for the rice bowls so I pick one or the other depending on how hungry I am. I love the macaroni salad and the tortilla chips have PERFECT seasoning.

I ordered the Kalua Pulled Pork burrito and was super impressed. The pork was delicious, the burrito was filled to the brim and incredible. They have different meals for kids and as much chips and you want. Fresh guacamole and great quest blanco.

We really enjoy flat waves food shack! This place is a definite gem! If your heading to Newport for any reason this is a great quick stop. The food is really delicious and reasonably priced for what you pay! We have ordered tacos, burgers, and burritos here. Nothing has disappointed and comes with awesome portion sizes.

The food here is absolutely incredible! I ordered two tacos (on Taco Tuesday) for 10$. These were some of the most flavorful and unique tacos I have ever eaten. I had the pulled pork and the ginger beef tacos (you could mix and match, just not with the fish). The pulled pork was stunning, but my favorite thing was the tropical salsa on the ginger beef! The pineapple was sweet and the peppers added the heat. The staff were amazing and so helpful. We were greeted immediately and food came out in a timely manner. If not for living in Ohio and only being up here for a visit, I would be a regular. Thank you guys for providing excellent food and great guest service! If ever in the area again, I will be returning!

We had an excellent dinner today. The staff was very nice and quick. We first went up stairs to grab a table and got everyone’s orders. We had 6 people in our party with 1 kid. The table started with the beach nachos that were crunchy and a nice mix of beans pineapple and cheese. I wish I could put that white cheese sauce on everything. Kids hot dog was not burnt and came with chips. I had the chicken bowl with bbq sauce. The chicken was dry and sauce too sweet but the plantains were top notch. The rest of party all received different tacos ranging from chicken, beef, pork, shrimp and grilled fish. Overall favorite was the pork and lest was the ginger beef. It was nice we received complimentary chips and Pico before our food came out. The inside of the place was extremely clean and well decorated. Thank you for a nice family

The bowl and burrito took 22 minutes to get prepared. They were out of plantain for the bowl and nothing was offered instead, charged the same price tho. The staff seems very off: look tired, don’t smile, and have no energy in their voice. The place looks nice, new, and clean. The interior design looked stylish and cool. Burrito tasted good: slightly sour, nice, and fresh. The bowl was disappointing: rice, beans, and beef. Nothing fresh or green. They’re supposed to be plantains (that they were out of) but I don’t think that would make much difference.

The veggie bomb burrito is delicious! I was skeptical because I don’t usually go for broccoli and brussels sprouts in burritos, but this combination is now a favorite. We will be back! Smooth ordering process and good customer service as well!
