Excellent food, great service and variety of options! We had the Mighty Tenderloin basket with onion rings and slaw…just HUGE but done right! Rest of the family had Smokehouse burgers, Chicken Bacon Swiss, and BBQ Pulled Pork Mac. Big portions and seasoned perfectly. Kids Mac & Cheese meal is $8, but easily could have fed an adult with creamy cheesy noodles and French Fries. Leah was a great server and we were well taken care of! Highly recommend!

I’m not sure who said they have the best food in the area but from my experience the food here is terrible. We ordered a seafood boil and received our food with absolutely NO seasoning, soaked in butter and a cup of butter on the side. We informed the waitress and she brought out a cup of seasoning to sprinkle on the food but it was just soaked in butter and the flavor was terrible. We spoke with the manager Caleb and he assured us that this is not how their seafood boil should be. So he suggested that he fix our food “his way”. We waited a few minutes and was brought out another platter, which looked better, had a small amount of seasoning and 2 cups of butter this time along with 2 ‘tennis ball size’ hushpuppies. It was absolutely disgusting. The taste was the same as the first platter. The only thing on the platter that was decent was the corn. We also ordered their sweet n spicy wings and fries. The first batch of fries were cold and dry so they brought out another one. The wings were ok, just wish it had more taste. The only thing you could taste was the sauce. Caleb asked how it was and when we told him, he utterly disagreed and stated that they have the best wings. He stated ‘since you are well traveled, maybe you should just order the crab legs and add some extra seasonings and add a side” No Caleb, I know what I wanted to eat and this establishment missed the mark completely. I wouldn’t recommend this place for my dogs.

Flat Creek in Webb City is truly one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited—not just for the warm hospitality, but for the unforgettable food.
The menu is outstanding. Their steaks are cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor. The fried chicken is golden, crispy, and easily the best I’ve ever had. The catfish is fresh and perfectly seasoned, and their burgers are unbeatable—big, flavorful, and cooked just right. Every meal feels like comfort food taken to the next level.
On top of that, the service here is second to none. Caleb, the manager, sets the tone with his servant-hearted leadership. His kindness, attention, and genuine care make every guest feel like family. Amanda goes above and beyond every single time—she doesn’t just serve, she makes you feel seen and cared for. And Taylor has also been consistently amazing, attentive, and welcoming.
It’s rare these days to find a place where excellence in food is matched with excellence in heart, but Flat Creek embodies both. Webb City is blessed to have a place like this, and I’ll gladly recommend it to anyone who asks.

Amanda is absolutely fantastic! She was warm, attentive, and genuinely made the whole experience better. She remembered our drinks, checked in at the perfect times, and kept the atmosphere fun without ever feeling rushed. You can tell she loves what she does. If you’re stopping in, ask for Amanda — she’s the kind of bartender who turns a regular night out into something memorable.

Had no idea what the serving sizes were, I was hungry so I bought the all-you-can-eat catfish. Those pieces are deceiving, they are 6-9 inches long, HUGE. The portions were huge, the food was delicious, and the service was amazing. Be prepared to have a lot of leftovers….not one person in my family group could finish their plate.

We were driving through Joplin and googled a place to eat. The all you can eat catfish seemed like the place to go. We got there a few minutes after it opened so there was no crowd. I think we were the second people there. The parking lot is rather big so I’m sure it can get crowded during peak hours.
FOOD: We ordered three different meals and we all agreed that the food was good though it could use a bit more seasoning all around. The okra was a good substitute for slaw and the fried and fish were good. The fried chicken was also good.
SERVICE: This one could use a bit of attention but the on duty manager showed what the service should be. We were attended to quickly and received our drinks quickly. The food didn’t take too long to come out as they weren’t cooking for anyone else. After we received our food, our waitress never came back by but to give us the check. Our drinks were low and even one was and had been empty. The manager came by and helped us out. She came back by again a bit later. I’m not going to leave a bad review because of one waitress. The waitress never even asked if I needed more fish on my all you can eat. The beginning portions were really big so it was sufficient but I still would have liked to have been asked. The pricing was typical for an all you can eat.
ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant was really nice. Decorated fully and uniquely! The music was country and not too loud. All in all a nice dining experience.

My family has been here a few times and has always really enjoyed it, but my first time as we’re from out of town. I got the chicken fried chicken and unfortunately it was very tough but they brought me out a fresh one. It was good but just different from all the other chicken fried chicken I usually get. Everybody else really enjoyed their meals and the restaurant has a really cool atmosphere.

Flat Creek in Webb City is hands-down the best place for chicken and catfish in the Joplin area. The food is flavorful and generously portioned—definitely a great value for the money. The lobster dip with wonton chips and the fried okra are must-try starters—absolutely delicious! The catfish is perfectly crispy, and the sweet tea hits the spot.
Our waitress was fast, thorough, and super kind, making it a great experience for the whole family. The only downside was that the bathroom could have been cleaner. We were too full for dessert, but we’ve heard the chocolate cake is fantastic.
We’ll absolutely be back!!

My wife and i ordered catfish and salmon to go. Upon arrival no one greeted me so i had to walk around to the dining room to find someone. A young very polite lady named Kristen i believe greeted me and had my food waiting on me. The catfish was good and fries was a bit soggy which is expected coming from carthage but the salmon was over cooked and i asked what size was the salmon before my wife ordered and they told me 8 to 10oz. Being a chef from st louis with being the winner of the taste of stlouis competition and executive chef at Mike Shannon in stl and Mythos in joplin and a few other places like Cafe de France 4 michelin star establishment, i think i know what 8ozs of salmon looks like. It was about 6oz at best. The salmon overall was good i could taste the bourbon and the alcohol could’ve been burned off just a tad more but I asked for no sauce just salmon and broccoli it came with a good amount of sauce and the wild rice was drenched with sauce. The corn bread was gritty from the cornmeal i assumed or undercooked and the only good part of the meal was the cajun corn (fabulous and exquisite). I will be back and probably ordering the same thing. Please weigh out the salmon and watch the cooking process. Chef tip. If you cut off the belli portion of the fish before you cook it you won’t have that problem or put the belly portion on a less hot area of the flat top. See you soon.

Wait was initially slated as 45 minutes. Knowing it’s best guess and it’s not these servers/waitress/waiters first rodeo. Hopefully it would be shorter and it was by 15 minutes.
Already knew our order preferences as we’d been to the Republic MO “Flat Creek” a half a dozen times over the last few years. Ordered quickly with our waitress.
Our waitress was efficient of sorts. Needed to ask for refills multiple times. She did as several times if we needed anything but didn’t offer options. Example, I got the Three Way platter and there wasn’t sauce for the fried chicken. There was sauce for the catfish and shrimp. But nothing to dip chicken tenders in. Again, our waitress was efficient but not that friendly. Almost as if she HAD to be at work and would’ve rather been elsewhere. Which showed in her demeanor. Which showed in the service score as a 2⭐ Again, she did her job all without being enthusiastic or gregarious.
The food was this side of amazing. Only if dipping sauces were available for the tenders. If they were I was unaware our waitress never mentioned options and I shouldn’t have had to ask.
Atmosphere is top notch. Certainly this location isn’t as large of a footprint as the Flat Creek in Republic MO. The Webb City location seemed crowded as tables were exceptionally close. Which if this place gets packed it’d be an uncomfortable experience for customers as there’s little room to navigate. The Republic location offers more elbow room. It’s packed as me and my family have eaten there half of dozen times where half that you had to wait to be seated and all tables were full or close. There wasn’t a feeling of being jammed in. Outside of this, it’s a cool location and damn good food for all to enjoy.
