Oh my! let me tell you… so today we went in for a late lunch and plus it was the only eatery place that wasn’t crowded due to everyone receiving their taxes I hate this place by the way but my husband likes their French toast I would never go there unless it was a situation like today mentioned earlier tax season hahaha…only had a family of 4 dining in… just got their meals served…we were asked by the young girl if we were taking out or eat in? I was surprised by the question cause the few times we were there FOR MY HUSBAND we just went up the counter and ordered and when orders are ready we just seated ourselves to any open tables…so we decided to eat in and she said okay just find a table and I’ll be there to take your orders…okay cool so we got menus and 2 drinks…long story short…the family of 4 had an issue with their food…dont know what the lady ordered but I can hear her asked if the could sherd the ginger in a cup or a separate dish…. I can already see the frustration in her and husband faces…the girl and she was the ONLY waitress was like pacing back and forth with eyes rolling like lady!! I dont care if this certain dish is served with shredded gingers on the side, and everytime the lady tries to tell her it’s her usual she tells the lady other wise it got so irritating that we just wanted to leave but I wanted to see where this was heading…the lady asked the cook to please come and I’ll tell you what I’m talking about because you look like a new cook… again this lil waitress girl interrupts the lady and that’s when the lady said you can’t treat customers like this and asked for a manager!!! and the girl responded; WHY she not going do nothing!! the Manager is my MOM The ladys husband also got up and the wife calmed him down and had him go back to their table My husband said okay let’s go I’ve had enough of this swizzle… it’s his favorite place to eat and never really liked the Waianae branch because of the service…the few times he goes their to bring food home they always messed up the order or forgets something…like our drinks today how can you mess that up when it was just us and a family of 4 that were dining in ‍♀️ I just paid for our drinks and left… but the thing is this place hasn’t really set it self off with customers on the west side maybe new Management needs to happen and a World Customer Service Check for this lil girl… hope this helps any future customers that decides to dine here …hope your experience will be better than ours

When we pulled up to the place, it looked like a “lower” standard place, but to my surprise it was really nice inside and clean everywhere. They also have daves ice cream and awesome pies. The food was great and prices was good too. The service was professional and the waitress girls was really nice and professional. What was nice that the girl took her time to explain the food too, that was cool! Definitely planning to be regulars there!

I’ve eaten here a few times and the food here is ok. I feel like they are improving bit by bit but I always end up disappointed everytime I decided to try something new on the menu. The dishes that i do recommend is the beef stew, sweet and sour spareribs, French toast and oxtail soup. The brown gravy is horrible so if your gonna order anything that uses brown gravy prepare yourself to have a bad burnt after taste. On the up side they have daves ice cream and depending on your server, you really get what you pay for in that area. The pies are good even though I’ve only had the apple, I love the dine in area, the lighting is perfect not to bright or dark. The whole place has a relaxing homey kind of flow and its really clean. The customer service is okay, I would say great but almost everytime I visit I’m missing something and sometimes the wait to order takes a while especially if the cashier is assisting someone in the ice cream area.

Friendly staff. A lot of seating. No table service, pay at the counter. Restrooms are clean, so is the dining area, and parking lot. Offering daily specials, breakfast, brunch and lunch temporary hours are 630-200 mon-sun

The selections and taste was okay. The interior was not appealing. Had to look for the green DOH placard before sitting. The prices were slightly higher than competition. No salt on tables. Floor is uneven slate which can not be maintained enough to be sanitary.

Great chocolate chip pancakes….best I’ve had on the Westside….prices are decent and plates are packed with ono food. Best ice cream ever served of course Dave’s… hangout and grab a shake to cool u down…it’s always hot on the Westside nothing beats the heat like ube or green tea ice cream from Flamingos
