Allot of my food was cold. It tasted alright. Chicken was good. Fish wasn’t good enough for me to want to finish it.
Seems like they’re stretching the budget pretty thin. They’ve definitely got something going here. I didn’t have a bad time. But I’d sooner go back to a smaller buffet that takes more time with the food and customer service.
Nothing horrible going on. But I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone or be in a rush to go back.
For the price is not what I’d value it. But I don’t think they can go lower on the price. They’re spending too much money in other places.
I recommend they relocate to a smaller place. Save some money and allocate it to the food and the employees.
I’m sure if the employees were happier, the food and atmosphere would be better.

Great options if you are vegan or vegetarian and of course for carnivores too. They have Mao po tofu and stir fried egg plant and veggie sushi and miso soup and baked sweet potatoes to name a few options and lunch was only 17.99
Don’t tip if you are expecting customer service from your servers, they are basically just table bussers as they don’t check in on you and you get your own food and drinks. Also don’t expect smiling faces from the employees. They aren’t interested.
If you want a good deal on lunch through the week and don’t expect much from the staff, it’s a good place.

I am not one to waste my time to post a review unless if a business was really bad. But, with myself being a big foodie, I thought I’d share my 2 cents. How is this place still in business and passing food inspector visits? NONE of the “hot food” was even served hot, or even close to warm. EVERYTHING was room temperature or below. Even the food that came “fresh from the kitchen” wasn’t to temperature. The “steam” coming out of the “steam tables” are most likely dry ice mixed with water to create the “steam” affect, or a fog machine built into their “steam tables” to create the illusion that their food was “hot”. The only thing they got right was their fountain drinks. Instead of calling this place a buffet, they should call it food poison hell. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS AND SHUT THIS BUSINESS DOWN ASAP.

I usually have fairly high forgiveness for buffets at this price point but this experience moves me to review… Lunch hour, not super busy, much of the food we got was room temperature, odd items we absolutely flavorless, sushi was *glued* to the buffet platters (dried out), Pepsi syrup was empty for the entire hour we were there and injury to insult, my son slipped twice on the floor at opposite corners of the dining room as there were wet spots everywhere. Sorry to leave this review, but we won’t be back.

Pretty Yummy although some food sits out too long and is tough. There is ALot of breading on their breaded dishes, a little too heavy. It would be nice to have signs near seafood dishes stating if it is Imitation or Real Crab for those with allergies. Lots of variety, well lated out. The floors are very sticky and tables aren’t cleaned often after people leave. It’s a nice spacious place with lots to offer,I think it just needs some fine tuning .

Great buffet with plenty of the usual American style Chinese cuisine dishes, plentiful seafood choices including crab, frog legs, clams and oysters, even stuffed scallops, a large assortment of sushi rolls and sashimi, a decent salad and fruit bar, a dessert bar with ice cream cups and cake pettifores, jello, puddings and the like. A fountain soda machine. Very clean establishment. Recommend hog trough if you feel the need to eat big!

FJ Buffet is located on Division St in Portland, Oregon. Free parking is available on shared properties with other stores/restaurants.
The price may vary depending on days and hours; and you pay at the cashier before seated. You can sit anywhere you want.
Overall, the food is ok. It’s still good.
The one thing that I wished was for the cooks to cook more food if a certain dish was running low. As you can tell from the pictures, certain dishes were almost empty. 30 minutes later, the same dishes were still not replaced.
I am used to certain food tasting a certain way, so I am biased on how food should taste.
I would still recommend this buffet.
You can experience it for yourself!

Local hole in the wall Asian buffet with a large dining space and plenty of great food selection. Pre-pay as you walk in the door with tip on receipt. Price includes beverages that you have to get yourself. Get your own silverware and condiments as well. Food is very tasty and well worth the cost of $53 for three adults. Should have waited to tip until after the meal as no wait staff waited on us other than the cashier.

Best buffet in the whole area honestly. Prices are fair, food is great, the man at the counter is very kind. I have returned over and over because it’s just that good. They also offer to-go boxes that are priced by weight. I brought my brother almost 4 lbs of food for $32, which is exaclty what i spent for two people to eat there.
