Loved the atmosphere. There were so many people there. It was a little loud but nothing too crazy. It was a 45-minute wait when we got there. Thank God I had made reservations . I let them know we had reservations, and within minutes we were sitting at our table. It took about 10 minutes for our server to take our order due to the crowd. They were moving as fast as they could. My sever looked a little annoyed. I figured that the establishment was a bit understaffed, so i didn’t hold it against her. I ordered their shrimp and grits and a side of greens and cornbread. I also had a shot of their Hennessy with a side of cranberry juice The greens and cornbread were really good. The grits were spicy (not too spicy) and also good. The only thing I didn’t like about the grits were the bell peppers and tomatoes (it was in every bite. Too much for me). I didn’t know it came like that. In the future, I’ll make sure to ask them to leave those out. The yams were also overcooked. My A1 got the smothered chicken with yams and mac and cheese. Her daughter got fries. All in all, it was a feel-good experience. I thought the food could have been better given the price though.

If you want some amazing comfort food, this is the place to go. Atmosphere in this place is top notch. The weight staff is absolutely sweet, kind and full of amazing suggestions for both food and alcohol. The alcohol is really good, had the liquid heat and was one of the most unique drinks I have ever had. For my lunch. I had the smothered pork chops with the collard greens and the candy dms and everything was fantastic. Everyone in my group of six ladies enjoyed their meals and was very full. The portion size to price ratio is absolutely perfect. You will not leave here hungry.

We visited Fixins on 7/15/23. Overall I give the food 5/10, the restaurant and staff was 10/10, our server was Alazae, she was great. I had the chicken and waffles, and a side of Collard Greens. The chicken was good. The waffles were tasty but, they are ver thin. The butter they serve is fire, it has a sweet cinnamon flavor. The Collard Greens are good but, I think the ones I make are better.

Food was awesome, service was great. Qife had the fried chicken with mac and cheese and potato salad, I had catfish red beans and rice with collard greens. Our appetizer was fried deviled eggs. Hever had that before but will definitely have again. Will surely be back and highly recommend.

The food was amazing! My Husband got chicken and waffles and I got the catfish. All of it was 10/10 amazing! Our server Christen was so sweet and welcoming. We loved it here.
