EXCEPTIONAL. This restaurant is a crown jewel in High Point! We are lucky to have them here in town. I just wish they were more visible from a marketing standpoint as well as location-wise.
They are sort of tucked away and the dining room and kitchen are both too small to fully accommodate Chef Jason’s ambitions and the demand and volume that better visibility of their establishment would bring.
To bring local, craft, from scratch, a la minute and elevated American fusion cuisine to this humble, often overlooked city…Fixin’s has been a blessing to the suddenly bustling, blossoming “scene” in HP.
*Update* Fixin’s has closed their doors…and myself & many other High Point/Triad foodies are saddened by this development. But I look forward to seeing what Chef Jason Gleichman will do next. Can’t keep good folks down!

Have had the opportunity to get to know Jason and August over the past several months. There passion to bring High Point a different fare is exciting. I have enjoyed several meals at their new restaurant and the food was delicious. Their determination and desire to improve your experience is evident!

I am very impressed with this place. The atmosphere is wonderful, you can hear the person across the table from you without screaming, and all of the staff are incredibly friendly.
On top of that, my child and I have dairy allergies and they were super accommodating from wiping down his high chair to cooking our food separately.
Price was pretty mid range. An app, two burgers, and a kids burger for $40.

This is a wonderful, and delicious addition to High Point. The ambiance is rustic and cozy with clear attention to detail. The service was very good, with clear attention paid to every table. While I can talk about all of those other things…it really boils down to the food, which I can say from the two dishes I ate, is excellent! The flavors were rich and complex, like the had been simmering for hours. The menu is diverse enough to please anyone, but I would certainly call it comfort food. I have only great things to say! If they can maintain the quality at the bar the set, I will be returning for years to come.

There waitress was great. She got us a table immediately; came to check on us multiple times; our food came out quickly. I ordered a burger and my mom ordered a turkey sandwich. It was okay, as I told her “morning to write home about other than the dessert”. Might try it out one more time. – UPDATE 7/25/19 I guess I won’t try this restaurant again as it is now permanently closed.

This restaurant prides itself on having farm to table food- and the freshness of the food really pays off. I got the roasted Brussels sprout appetizer and shrimp and grits, and left very full and happy. The desserts are original and also delicious. Another plus of this restaurant is that it has a rotating menu so you know you are getting the highest quality and freshest ingredients. If you are in high point you should definitely make this place a priority

Simple place but you can tell when the chef uses their time and creativity to provide excellent flavors. We had the Brie appetizer…I wanted a whole plate of it because it was so good. I had the Brisket Spaetzle. Brisket was tender and flavorful pasta and sauce also excellent. My wife had the Brisket tacos and said they were great. We’ve found our new spot to eat

Fixins’ hosted my company’s furniture market kickoff party. Jason and his team are amazing. They bent over backwards to put together a killer menu with beer pairings. The chefs are so passionate about food, and literally obsess over every detail. Wow. The sauces and sides were incredible. The food was delicious. Strongly recommend the pimento gouda dip, tortellini salad, flavorful meats and vegetarian options, and asking the chef and team for their recommendations about what to try. The service and creativity are unmatched. My guests have been raving about how amazing the food and the experience we’re. I would recommend these guys all day long. High Point is lucky to have this great place!

Have been told by numerous friends that this place was excellent. And have not been able to go, but was brought lunch. And It was simply amazing. I was brought the Rueben sliders with homemade chips. It was one of the best Rueben sandwiches I have ever had. Cant wait to try this place in Person. I have heard nothing but good things about it. Totally enjoyed our brunch today. Friendly, attentive wait staff. Great menu, competent Chef. Highly recommend!
