Disappointing Experience – Failure to Follow Instructions
I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience. My husband specifically instructed the staff to prepare my meal without any spicy ingredients, including the sauce in the disposable plastic container, due to my irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Unfortunately, the kitchen completely disregarded these instructions.
When I received my food, it was spicy, and even the rice was inedible. This was not only a matter of personal preference but a serious health concern. I was unable to eat the food, which was frustrating and disappointing.
The lack of attention to detail and failure to follow simple instructions is unacceptable. I hope the restaurant takes steps to improve their communication and kitchen procedures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

I don’t know why it is that every time I order the Atteke The pepper sauce is They put the hottest pepper from every continent on the earth in the sauce. It’s so bad. I literally put the oil of the sauce on my food and couldn’t even think straight because The pepper was so much. It taste like they made it for their husband‘s mistress. That’s how spicy it is.
The fish was also soapy, and the portion sizes are strange. If the sauce wasn’t as spicy and bitter, it would taste great but The ratio of sauce to Atteke would need to be fixed. Honestly, it’s like a shot in the dark whenever you ordering here. Sometimes you get it good food but a lot of times the food is bad.

My first time in Fargo and they said they are a Liberian restaurant. I ordered dry rice with tilapia fish and it was nasty no taste to the rice and the fish was just dry. I’ve eaten better dry rice so not order it from this place you’re better off spending your money somewhere else.

The Resturant used to be called Kolie and it was delicious, but now I ordered a large amount of food to taste everything. The Meat sticks were raw and gross, the pepper sauce horrible no flavor. The potatoes not cooked properly. The prices keep changing from over the phone order to in person order. Sanitation not good as the door swings you see filth. I will however say the potato greens were good. The flavors are inconsistent need a stable recipe or signature dish. Wish they would find Kolie cooks to teach them how it’s done. I miss my Liberian dishes I could just order out.

I love that we have so many food choices in Fargo! I tried Five Star African Cuisine for the first time and it certainly won’t be my last! The food was very delicious- great flavor, and the staff was very welcoming and attentive!
