They use peanut oil for their fries which sucks, beef tallow is 150% better.
The prices are way too high for what they offer as well. I got a regular burger, she got a lettuce wrap, 1 large fry and two small shakes and it was over $50
The burger was not good. Ultra cheap Kraft-style “cheese” slice, dry and tasteless bacon, the beef had minimal (if any) flavor, and the bun was clearly pushed down on for no discernable reason to “crush” the burger before wrapped. Also, the bun wasn’t toasted.
Service was SLOW. I thought this was a fast food restaurant? It took over 15 minutes to get 2 burgers and an order of fries…
I can get a much, much better single cheeseburger at less than half the price only a mile away at In-N-Out. Or I can get a big burger, with fries and a drink for the same price as only a Five Guys bacon cheeseburger without fries or drink. I will NOT be back to Five Guys!
Hell yeah dudes!
x2 double bacon cheese burgers
x1 large fry
x2 chocolate shakes (one size only)
$51 dollars. That doesn’t include tip.
The positive side to this is this specific Five Guys off Nevada Ave. in Colorado Springs has very pleasant customer service. They welcome you as soon as you come into the restaurant. They don’t rush you as you build a burger that is just right for you and the family.
The fries are always hot, salty (not overly salty), and in mass proportions. A large fry is plenty for a couple and plenty left over.
The food came out fast. Probably waited 4 minutes. There were two customers in front of us already. The tables were clean and the restaurant smelt like delicious burgers. The burgers most definitely taste like they smell. If you want a delicious burger this is the spot to go to. I just don’t recommend every day if you live in a budget.
