Very clean location. Food was really fresh and service was prompt. Big fan of the chain and love juicy the burgers are.

I recently visited Five Guys during their buy-one-get-one promotion, and unfortunately, it was one of the most frustrating fast-food experiences I’ve had.

To start, the restaurant was more crowded than usual, and many customers looked visibly unhappy. I completely understand that promotions can bring in overwhelming crowds, and I try to be patient in those situations. However, being busy is not an excuse for poor communication or dishonesty.

We placed two online orders about 20 minutes before arriving. After getting there, we waited 30 minutes just to place an order for fries. Then, after another 30 minutes, we got our fries and asked to check on our online orders — which had now been in the system for over an hour.

The employee handling orders (a short guy with glasses) told us he hadn’t seen our names. Meanwhile, I could clearly see my bag sitting on the shelf designated for online pickups. After waiting another 10 minutes to get his attention, I pointed it out to him myself. He grabbed it, and I then asked about my partner’s order, which had been placed even earlier. He responded, “I haven’t seen that name yet, but I’ll look out for it.”

That response made no sense. If my order had been sitting there the whole time, how had he “not seen” my parters order placed even earlier? We sat down and ate for about 15 minutes, and by then, nearly the entire crowd had turned over. People who ordered long after us had already received their food.

When we asked again about the missing order, we were told the same line — that he hadn’t seen the name. We requested that he check the system, since it was obvious at that point that something had gone wrong. Instead of checking, he repeated that he hadn’t seen it and then claimed that checking the system wasn’t possible. That was simply untrue. Having both worked in food service before, we know it’s absolutely possible to look up and reprint tickets. It was clear the order had likely been given to someone else.

Eventually, another staff member stepped in, checked the system, found the ticket from over two hours prior, and reprinted it. We then waited another 20 minutes for the food to be made.

I understand that promotional days are stressful. I understand that mistakes happen. What I don’t understand is the refusal to take accountability and the decision to mislead customers instead of simply admitting there was an issue. Waiting over two hours for a burger — with repeated dismissive responses — is unacceptable.

As much as they charge you for regular fries ($7.49) the lady at the fry station only gave me a little bag not even completely full and then gave me a little half scoop (probably about ten more fries) on top. Then when I asked her if that was a regular she got an attitude and said that’s a regular. I will definitely not be coming back to this location.

I usually have no issue with this place and actually enjoy the food. But recently, I ordered through their app and it they apparently use DoorDash for delivery. My order was cancelled by the dasher but Five Guys said it had been picked up. I was on the phone for 2 hours back and forth trying to get my refund until five guys finally refunded my money. I won’t be ordering delivery anymore.

Had been craving a burger so I decided to go to Five Guys. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink and waited around 10 mins for my order to be ready. I get my order and go back to work to realize they forgot to put the meat and cheese inside the buns! They put all the toppings i asked for but forgot to add the cheeseburger part don’t have the time to drive back another 15 mins to go get my patty but it was incredibly disappointing to pay $21 for vegetables and 2 buns. Really disappointing

Had an online order a paid for a little cheeseburger and the sandwich was soaked in mustard and ketchup, had to be re made. Fries were cold…and now they have bags so you get half the fries than previous. For $18 for a small cheeseburger meal this was highly disappointing. Will never order pick up again.

This is a decent Five Guys spot, but Five Guys in general has really fallen from its peak back in the 2010s. The food has gotten very expensive for what it is (cheap, non-fancy food), and the service is slow despite the fact that they offer a pretty limited menu.

I have always enjoyed Five Guys’ burgers, but this was a little different. My girls were excited to go, so I let the guys working there know it was a first time visit for them. They made a big fuss, and were extra welcoming, interacting with my kids. We had a great time.

I usually gate-keep places I like, but this Five Guys off of Dobbins in Columbia, MD is top-tier. It’s always clean (like really clean), the people who work there are very nice. You can tell they want you to enjoy your food. If you are looking for a nice inexpensive spot to have lunch try them. They now have the combo deal, where you get burger, fries and a soda.
