Despite being a self proclaimed non-breakfast type, I find myself wandering over to more and more bakeries for donuts. Having had donuts from Stans and Voodoo in Chicago, and other local favorites, I can proudly say that the donuts here at Five Daughters are as good as they come.
Prior to visiting here, I couldve definitively said that Voodoo donuts took the cake for my favorite shop, but now Five Daughters has successfully entered the fray making it a very difficult choice.
The location isnt huge by any means, pulling up to it you can tell its likely an older residential location thats been re-outfitted. Not a dealbreaker by any means, as long as youre not expecting your traditional brick and mortar locations like some of the other spots may be.
There is just something about the way Five Daughters makes their dough that produces such an amazing texture that I can only compare to a mochi donut. Its so delicate and chewy, and almost melts in your mouth. Its so good, it almost makes you forget that your donut has an amazing topping on it. The blueberry lemon cream cheese, and raspberry cream cheese were so good, but it was the samoa that won it for me.
I highly recommend stopping by Five Daughters if youre looking for a good donut while you shop around at some of stores in the area, you wont regret it. Ill definitely be stopping back if I ever find myself in the area again!

Omg, I am still craving these donuts a week later and wish we had a location in Atlanta. These are probably the best donuts I’ve ever had. I started with a few mini ones and I liked them so much I came back and ordered the large size. They have croissant-type layering so that they are nice and flaky. Everything was moist and delicious! The purist, & gingerbread latte were my favorite! My husband liked the one with bacon and was delighted to see it was cream-filled (King Kong?). The spiced honey cheesecake was a little too sweet because it had so much icing, but it was delicious. Service was excellent, and I loved the decor inside the place as well as the donut paintings on the outside. If I lived close by I would be here weekly

While waiting for a table at a nearby breakfast spot, we decided to pop into Five Daughters Bakery for some treats. I hadn’t been in years, and the cronuts were just as delectable as I remembered: perfectly Chewy, crispy exterior (but not crunchy), decadently stuffed, and absolutely delicious. I went with the Blueberry Lavender, which was filled with a berry jam.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s worth noting that all cookies and the blue-striped items are gluten-free, which is a nice touch for those with dietary preferences (one of our friends has celiac). We also really enjoyed the outdoor seating area, especially with the gorgeous weather. This bakery is a must-visit for anyone craving a sweet treat in the 12 South area.

Traveled from San Antonio, Texas to Nashville for our anniversary. My wife and I were excited to try the donuts. When we were up to order the guy had no customer service and didn’t say much when we ordered. No greeting or help. The girl at the register was ok, overall we won’t go back. Donuts were decent and somewhat hard, seemed like they were not as fresh as they should have been.

I loved this bakery! This place is known for their 100 Layer Donuts, and they did not disappoint. I ordered the minis of The Purest (glazed), Vanilla Cream, Milk Chocolate Sprinkles, and Strawberry Fields. The large one that I got was the Maple Gazed.
I also ordered an iced dripped coffee that also tasted really good! Please note that I was able to go to the bakery at 8:30am on a Friday.

When my partner and I went here, I was not expecting too much but it seemed like a basic donut shop. But I was quickly prove wrong. I got the King Kong donut (not pictured because I devoured it before taking any photos). Before leaving, we ended up buying more to take with us on the road.

Amazing little spot for yummy treats! We stopped here twice while we were in Nashville and both donuts we tried were delicious. We went with the smaller size and were very satisfied with them. I think if we did the larger one they would have been too much sweetness

On a food tour, my wife and I visited Five Daughters Bakery. I tried the Mini Cinnamon Cream Cheese. It was good, but different. It tasted like a combination of a croissant and a donut. Looking forward to trying it again on our next visit.
